Outer Rim territories
Sol Sphere
Just a day after their encounter and engagement against the single Lovecraftian Bioship and its incursion and attack against the cargo ship Velasquez. The SFS Rimor and the SFS Cloak of Darkness escorted the Velasquez to Port Town. Following that escort, the pair of ships received the order to return to Station Far Point for an extensive debrief by the highest-ranking officer stationed on the naval base, Rear-Admiral Gaston Crowley. As such, the ships after ensuring the Velasquez reached Port Town sailed immediately to Station Far Point. Which was built in the immediate aftermath of the First series of conflicts against the Lovecraftian as a naval anchorage base used to support and supply countless naval battlegroups against the Lovecraftian monsters.
By this point, Humanity was left desolated by the conflict. The War was at its bleakest for humanity and the Lovecraftian power was at its apex. Mankind fell into a massive resource crisis that broke humanity's once unbreakable post-scarcity economy. Having been exacerbated by seventeen hundred years of war against the monsters of the dark. Key Resources such as raw materials and warship-grade alloys were just a short supply as foodstuffs. By the start of the 34th Millennium Unified Standard Calendar, almost all remaining materials and manpower were diverted entirely to the new initiative to solve their current resource crisis and overpopulation issue caused by refugees fleeing the interstellar colonies.
But this left a brief period of almost five decades between the end of the first conflict followed by mankind's hastily retreat back to the Sol Sphere and the beginning of the initiative. At the time, the naval shipyards of the Sol Sphere were still operating with full wartime funding without the constant demands of fleet repairs and reinforcement. In this short grace period, the engineers of Corona Starworks Fleet Yard made a short-lived attempt to introduce modern designs into the largely outdated designs of the SolForce Navy. All of these projects were quickly canceled with the start of the initiative to solve the ongoing resource crisis at the time. But still existed in varying states of completion with one project, in particular, reaching far enough into its design process to spawn a single-functioning prototype.
This experimental vessel would later spawn the creation of the line of ships known as the Huntsman class and Shinobi class vessels of the SolForce navy. Built and designed to be humanity's frontline ship against the Lovecraftian. This naval Anchorage, Station Far Point was one of the few facilities constructed to house and test these prototype vessels in secret. A Front design, it was in essence a huge artificial living facility constructed to operate in the far reaches of deep space. These are built with asteroids as their foundation. Originally used by miners as a frontline base to mine and tap into the immense resources of deep space. Now serving many purposes from scientific research sites, and covert black sites used by the government, to military and naval facilities to store their assets. These stations were commonly found in the Outer Rim more so than they were found deeper within the core territories of the Sol Sphere.
Station Far Point was one of many of these facilities that were scattered throughout the Outer Rim. Capable of supporting entire battlegroups consisting of thousands of warships. Station Far Point was naturally a citadel that guarded this sector of space in the Outer Rim. Station Far Point at first glance seemed to be an ordinary Front-type station that was converted from civilian to military use. However, Station Far Point was rebuilt to be more than that. The station itself was designed with the purpose of repairing both mecha and starships. In addition, they were equipped with dockyards responsible for creating new warships with some being so powerful that they could destroy entire planets in a single blast. Making Station Far Point far more valuable than it led on. Being the test design for the latest series of SolForce naval bases stationed in the Outer Rim. These station classes would be known as the Equality-class naval base.
