The school day is going by in a flash. We're in the last hour and the only thing that's happened is Lexy and Devon giving us death stares from across the room whilst Nadine and Denis looked over tentatively.

I thought we were gonna get through it just fine but as Devon got up and walked over he knocked my pencil on the floor and sarcastically commented.

Devon : Woops.

Jake : That's petty.

He scoffed.

His eyes turned to Cory.

Devon : What are you looking at?!

He walked back over to his table. Apparently Ruth doesn't give a fuck.

I saw a group of girls call out for Devon. He walked over to them and they chatted for a bit before periodically laughing lightly at something Devon said.

I'm not jealous, I'm curious as to why this schools version of the "popular" people are talking to Devon?

A group of girls called me over to their table.

??? : Hey! Nice to meet you, I'm Rebecca, this is Lucy, Susan and Julie.

Devon : Devon.

Rebecca : So Devon, what's the deal with you and Wednesday Addams?

Devon : He's my ex.

Stacy : You're gay? That's cool.

Julie : I mean this as a compliment but I liked how bitchy you were.

Devon : He deserves it.

Susan : So what'd he do?

Devon : See that boy sitting next to him? That's who he did.

Rebecca : Oh! I'm so sorry for you. Are you going to that party tonight?

Devon : Yeah, me and my friend are going actually.

Rebecca : Cool, say hi if you see us there.

I walked away but I could feel Jakes eyes burning through the back of my head.

School just finished. Now me and Cory are gonna sneak out and get an outfit for the party. He said we can get clothes from his friend for free at his store.

We entered the store and the cashier squealed and pulled Cory into a hug.
