A long time ago there were 4 clans; Rustclan, Highclan, Cougarclan, and Moonclan. All 4 clans lived in peace until a band of rouges came to the forest. The rouges announced at a gathering that Starclan would abandon them and that they were here to warn them. All the clans argued about the rouges.
Rustclan believed the rouges planned to send them into chaos and all the clans must work together to drive them out.
Highclan believed that the rouges planned to take them over and since Highclan had the most cats, they would deal with it themselves.
Cougarclan thought the rouges were actually dark forest cats and Cougarclan would ask Starclan to banish them once more.
It was Moonclan who took them seriously. Moonclan expressed this concern to the others but were laughed out of the gathering. Moons later, The rouges' warning came true. The clans went into panic. Leaders died in one death and medicine cats could not visit their hunting grounds. Only Moonclan were prepared. They left the forest and took cover in an old barn.
When the main chaos passed, the other 3 clans saw that Moonclan was without leaders and healers. They decided to send 3 cats to help them. Sleepystep from Highclan was to become their leader. Saffronback from Cougarclan was to become their deputy. Lastly, Raveneyes from Rustclan was to become their medicine cat.
Moonclan became offended by their offer. Starclan had abandoned them so Moonclan will do the same. Moonclan told Sleepystar and Saffronback to leave but they refused. With no other choice they killed the duo. Raveneyes watched as the clan kill their leader and deputy. He asked to be shown mercy. Moonclan told Raveneyes that they were forced to kill the star-parasites because the refused to stay. Raveneyes agreed to leave but only if they told the clans that they killed all 3 of them instead of just the 2. Moonclan agreed and Raveneyes left. Moonclan decided to honor their saviors by renaming themselves.
