1994Everyone had been sitting together in the assembly room while McGonagall spoke, "The yule ball has been a tradition of the tri-wizard tournament since its inception. On Christmas Eve night we and our guests gather in the great hall for well-mannered frivolity. As representatives of the host school, I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward, and I mean this literally because the yule ball is first and foremost... a dance."
Every boy started to groan and every girl got excited. Rosalina looked at Adeline beside her with a smirk.
"Silence. The house of Godrick Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the course of a single evening besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons."
"Now to dance is to let the body breathe, inside every girl a secret swan slumbers longing to burst forth and take flight. Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mr Weasly, will you join me." McGonagall grabbed Ron.
They began to show everyone how to dance.
"Hey, boys," Adeline whispered over the twins. The two walked over to her "Never forget this." She smiled watching Ron.
"Never." They smiled.

Adeline had been in the library studying when someone grabbed her arm. "Hello!" Rosalina sat down beside her girlfriend. "Hello, Rose." Adeline lifted her head from the book.
"So there is this girl I want to ask to the ball. I'm not sure if she wants to go with me though." Rose sighed.
"Hmm, well maybe she does but is waiting to be asked." Adeline smiled at the girl, "Well then. Adeline Lockwood." Rose paused.
"Will you go to the ball with me?" Rose smiled. "Yes!" Adeline giggled.
"Alright." Rose walked away casually leaving Adeline blushing.
Adeline sat there for a moment before realizing that Rose had left. The girl smiled, packed up her studies and left. She ran the hallways until she bumped into someone, "Oh my god. I am so sorry!".
"Adeline, I was just looking for you!" Katie grabbed Adeline by the hand and ran into a closet.
"Yes?" Adeline whispered as Katie shut the door, "I wanted to tell you that I am sorry. Thedore was talking to me and I realised I might have not been the best sister."
"I should have never let you go, to begin with." She added.
Adeline nodded listening to her sister's words, "It's alright." Adeline softly smiled as Katie went in for a hug
"I'm so sorry." She whispered into her shoulder
"Hey, Katie?" Adeline asked still hugging her sister, "Yes?" Katie replied
"Would you like to help me get ready for the Yule Ball?" Adeline asked
Katie paused for a moment before pulling out of the hug. "Did you- Rose asked you?" Katie asked
"Mhm," Adeline bit her lip, "Oh my god!" Katie squealed.

The two had now sat in Katie's dorm with her roommate Pansy also there getting ready.
"Have you two finished yet? I need to style my hair." Pansy asked annoyed by the sisters.
"Piss off Pansy," Katie told her while still styling her sister's hair.
Pansy had been ready but had yet to do her hair. She wore a beautiful long dress that hugged her figure.
"Let's just keep it straight?" Adeline suggested.
"Ugh fine." Katie rolled her eyes as she pulled all of Adeline's hair into a ponytail.
"Alright well, the dance is starting soon so I will see you both there." Pansy smiled grabbing her stuff and leaving

Adeline had finished up getting ready with her sister and headed to meet Rose. She had told her to meet her outside of the doors to the Yule Ball.
Adeline walked down the stairs in her dress which was fully black with a floral print down at the bottom.
"Holy shit man-" Rose gasped seeing the girl walking down the stairs
Adeline smiled along with a giggle, "You like?" She asked doing a little spin
"I love." Rose walked over to Adeline and kissed her on the lips. Adeline backed up after the kiss
"I don't want to get makeup all over you." She chuckled wiping the lipstick off Rosalina
"I want you to promise me something." Adeline got more serious in a quick moment. "Mhm?" Rose hummed.
"Don't die on me in these games." Adeline poked the girl in front of her. "I won't, I promise." Rose smiled
"Now let's go do this dance." Rose grabbed the girl's hand
Adeline and Rose held hands while they walked over to meet with the other contestants.
Music began to play as the doors opened. All of the contestants and their dates walked down the line of people clapping for them.
Adeline held a bright smile as she walked down with Rosalina by her side.
They made their way to the dance floor and got in position to dance.
The dancing music began to play as the duos danced. Not long into the dance Dumbledore along with McGonagall joined the dance.
Other teachers slowly joined in the dancing and some students as well. So after all the students began dancing.
New songs began to play and everyone started to party during the dance.
Adeline, Rosalina. Cedric and Alex all started to dance together smiling and laughing.
"Best night ever." Cedric laughed dancing with his sister.
