A Short Encounter

Lumine stumbles around trying to continue on walking, her legs were tired she wanted some rest.. but she didn't take a rest, she continued to push herself.

After all? Peoples problems were more important than herself and it's was her purpose after all.. to help others. When? When would it be her turn to be helped. She looks up and notices you.

"Oh-! Sorry I didn't see you right away, can I help you..?"

"You look tired, are you okay?"

You ask her in a gentle voice, concerned.

Lumine stops for a moment to take the words in, before she continues walking.. is it really that obvious?

"Well.. I have been busy.." She takes a deep breath in before speaking once again, she sounds a little out of breath..

"..But I'm perfectly fine..!"

Was she convincing enough?.. It was hard to tell whether or not she was lying, to begin with.

"Totally doesnt look like that to me."

You said with a stern voice.

Lumine stops. For a moment she considers just laying down.. she thinks to herself she has done enough.. surely, one little rest wont harm-..right?

She shakes her head and lets out a sigh, she has to keep going.. to help others..

"..I'm fine."

She says it louder and with more confidence to prove.. she is.. in fact not okay.

She continues to walk.. but the words.. they're still in her head..

"Am I really fine?"

You look at her, took a deep breath and said to her,

"I need your help."

"What do you need help with?"

Lumine stops to listen to what you have to say, she looks up at you her tired eyes staring at you. She still seems tired. But she will help. She will always help.. because it's her goal.

"Is it something you need me to do today? Or do you just need someone to listen? I can do both if you like?"

She smiles at you. She doesn't know you, but you seem important so she wants to make sure you feel important too.

You smile, but you thought that she needed a rest. You then said to her in a convincing tone,

"But first i think you need a rest."

Lumine smiles softly, at this point tears were close to falling down her cheek.. she wanted a break.. maybe a little rest?... But she continues to stand up for others but yet she won't even stand up for herself..

"..I don't have time to rest, I can rest when I'm dead."

She says with a sad smile, she lets out a heavy sigh and continues to look at you, as if waiting for your response.

"Thats true, but you need to rest before you can help me as you will need a lot of energy."

Lumine nods at your words, they make a lot of sense and she starts to think it may be true.. as much as she hated to admit it.

"Just a small rest then...?"

Lumine says while looking down to herself before turning back to you, she is hesitant but she thinks a small break may be required, a small resting after all. she lets off a heavy sigh, her body seems a little tired and her eyes are red and a little wet..
