I was doing biology homework in the kitchen; when my brother and his annoying friends got back from baseball practice. My brother was a senior and I was a sophmore. I sighed and put my headphones in to ignore him and his loud friends. "Yo Melisende," one of my brothers friends says. "what?" I said in the sweetest voice I could muster. "Make us a plate of food won't you," he said laughing. "Dude she is doing homework leave her alone," I heared Leo say and I smiled. "Yeah dude don't bother my sister she is trying to go to college like her big bro," He said and I rolled my eyes.
I went upstairs to my bedroom. I set my stuff down and laid on my stomach. I heard a knock at my door and I lifted my head to see Leo. "Leo hi." I said with a smile; "Uh come in sit," I said patting the spot next to me. "We need to talk," he said and I sat up to look at him. My look help some concern. "Is everything okay?" I asked and he shook his head and I got up to close my door. "Keep it open," he said and I nodded. I walked to my desk and leaned against it.
"what's up?" I asked he sighed in response. "I think I am in love with this girl," he said looking down and I smiled at him. I knew it was his girlfriend Abelia; Yes I was sad because I have been in love with Leo since I don't know when. But, he was happy and thats all that mattered. "With Abelia that's such good news I am happy for you," I said but he didn't have a smile when I said that. "Not with Abelia," he said looking up at me now. "If not her then who Leo you can tell me," I said opening the space up.
He got up and kissed me. I was open to it until it hit me he had a girlfriend. I pushed him away. "No, Leo you have a girlfriend; and your my brothers friend," I said and he nodded. "What if I didn't have a girlfriend," he said and I looked at him adn noticed the chain missing. The on Abelia gave him to make sure every girl new that he was hers. "You broke up with her??" I asked and he nodded. I kissed him and four years later we are getting married. We snuck around for so long but finally told my brother after months and he was happy for us.
