The carters were driving to their new house and Leah was asleep so when they got there they all got out Lee carried Leah inside as he was the oldest and when they walked in and Lee said ''can you all be quiet as my little sister is sleeping and i you wake her up then i will kill you'' and it was too late as the noise had woken her up so Lee put her down and Leah said ''right dad but i want to pick my room and go to sleep''.
Leah's Pov
when i turned around and faced the bar i saw my aunt Tina so i said ''Tina what are you doing here'' ''well i live around here don't i'' the Shirley said ''no hug for your aunt Shirley then'' ''no because you left me all alone in the house when my mum, my dad, Lee, Nancy and Johnny went out one night'' then my dad said ''you what'' ''oh yeah i forgot i didn't tell you but yes it is true and i was only what 6 years old when she left me all alone and at least Tina wouldn't do that to me'' i then stormed upstairs and got my phone out my pocket and saw that i had a text of my ex boyfriend saying ''i want you back and am sorry for what i put you through'' i then text back saying ''i will give you one last chance and i mean it if you step out of line again then you won't be forgiven'' ''OK and i won't mess it up this time and do you want to meet up somewhere'' ''yes OK but come to the queen Victoria in Albert square'' ''i know where it is as i live round there'' ''OK see you in a minute'' i then walked back downstairs and walked over to my dad and said ''i am going out in a minute if that is alright dad'' ''yes princess that is fine and here is some money so treat yourself'' ''thanks dad'' then Lee said ''what the bloody hell are you doing here'' i then turned around and saw Joe so i walked over to him and kissed him on lips and said ''bye everyone i will be back soon'' i then walked out the pub while holding Joe's hand and we walked to the park where we sat on the grass and we just talked for a while until i kissed him and he kissed back and i got on top of him still kissing him then a little boy ran over to us and said ''me can't my mummy and daddy'' ''come on we will help you find them'' ''OK'' ''you coming babes'' ''yes OK'' i then Grabbed Joe's hand while i had hold of the little boys hand and after about 15 minutes of looking for them we couldn't find them so i stopped and said ''have you got a mummy and daddy'' he then shook his head so i looked up at Joe and then i turned to the little boy and said ''how about having a new mummy and daddy ay'' ''yay'' ''come on then i will show you to nanny and grandad'' i then picked the little boy up and said ''what is your name'' ''my name is James'' i then turned to Joe and said ''what do you think shall we take James in as our own little boy'' ''yes we should now come on i will walk you home'' ''no i need a pram and bed for him'' ''come on i will buy them'' ''OK'' we then walked to the shops and we bought a pram and i asked the man in the shop if he could put it up and when he finished i put James in it and we walked home with Joe carrying the box with the bed in it and when we got to the pub i walked in with the pram and i walked over to my dad and said ''this is my new son James and he will be living with us'' then my dad nodded and said ''seeing as you are going out with Joe again and you have adopted a new little boy then Joe can move in'' ''really dad'' he then nodded and Lee helped Joe carry the box with cot in upstairs and Joe put it together and when he was finished we went to his sisters house and he packed his bags and when he was finished packing we walked back to the pub and we walked in i saw Dean sat at the bar so i passed James to Joe and started freaking out so Lee came over to me and said ''whats up Leah'' ''he attacked me the day before we got here'' i said it whilst pointing at Dean so Lee turned to Dean and said ''you attacked my little sister'' i then said ''Lee where is dad'' ''he is upstairs'' me and Joe then walked upstairs and Joe was still holding James and i walked in the kitchen and i saw my dad so i walked over to him and said ''what is Dean doing here'' ''he is family Leah'' ''no he isn't not after what he done to me yesterday'' ''what did he do'' ''well yesterday when you all went out and i stayed in the house well he must of been watching the house and somehow he got in and attacked me and now Lee is downstairs probably punching Dean'' my dad the stood up and stormed downstairs so i stood up and me and Joe who was holding James walked in to my room where i made room for Joe's clothes in my wardrobe and then i moved some of my perfumes over and Joe put all his aftershaves on the other side of my desk and he finished UN-packing we sat on the bed while James was asleep and we stared kissing again and Lee came in my room and said "get a room will you and Dean has gone now" "that is good and we have got a room" Lee then walked out and Joe said "I couldn't stop thinking about you when you left you know" "really" "yes" I then hugged him and said "I actually didn't want to break up with you but I had to because of your dad" "I know and when you left me I started to hate my dad for it" James then woke up so I picked him up and took him downstairs were everyone was and when my dad saw me he said "are you alright princess" "yes am fine dad" then I went to sit at a table with Joe and James and my mums friend came over to me and said "who's is the kid" "me and Joe have adopted him" "well you have lost your life as you are a teen mum now" "no I haven't lost my life" then Joe said "I suggest you leave now or else" "or what" "just get out before I get her brother" Lee then walked over to me and saw me upset so he said "what's up Leah" "she said have lost my life now because I have adopted James" "why would you say that Sharon" "because it's true" "no it isn't" I then stood up and picked James up and grabbed Joes hand and we walked out the pub and I turned to Joe and said "did she mean what she said that I have ruined my life" "no you haven't babe as you are taking a little boy in so he isn't homeless and any person would be grateful" "I know" then the police came over to me and said "where did you get that kid from" "he was living on the streets so I took him in and James said that he hasn't got a mum or dad as they don't want him" "well we need you both to come down the station with us" "why what have we done" "just come with us" "you are gonna take him away from us aren't you please don't as I love him as my own child" then Joes sister came over and said "what's going on" "they are asking us to go down the station with them and I don't want them to take him away" then Stacie said "listen just go with them and Joe will be with you and I will tell your parents" "Ok" we then got in the back of the police car and drove to the police station.
Stacie's POV
When they left to go the police station I walked in the pub and walked over to Mick and Linda and said "hi guys and just letting you know that your Leah and our Joe have been taking down the station and your Leah is so scared as she doesn't want the little boy to get taken off her" then Lee ran out the pub with Mick and Linda following him.
Mick's POV
When Stacie told us that Leah was taken down to the police station with Joe Lee ran out the pub with me and Linda following him and when we got to the police station we ran in and Lee went straight to the desk and said "where is my little sister and her boyfriend" "they are just in a meeting room signing adoption forms" "really" "yes" Lee then walked back over to us and said "she is in a meeting room signing adoption forms" then Leah walked out the meeting room and Joe holding James and when she saw Lee she ran into his arms and said "me and Joe are now James adoptive parents" "that is good isn't it" "yes it is" we then walked out the police station and Joe was holding James in one arm and his other arm was around Leah.
Leah's POV
When we walked out the police station we got back in the car and drove back on the pub where we saw stacie so I walked over to her and said "you are an auntie as me and Joe are James adoptive parents" "that is good" then me and Joe walked upstairs where I put James in his pyjamas and went to make him some tea and when he ate his tea I put him to bed and I ordered pizza for me and Joe and when it came we sat on the bed watching a film and when we finished eating it we put our pyjamas on and got back in bed and we kissed for most of the night and when we finished we fell asleep.
The next morning
When I woke up that morning I saw that Joe was still asleep so I decided to wake him up so I kissed him on the lips and he woke up and said "why would you do that" "I want you to get up so we can go to town" "ok come on then" we then got up and I got dressed which was a pair of shorts, a crop top and a pair of jelly shoes and I put my hair in a bun with a black bow on the top and then I started on my make up and when I was finished I went over to James and said "come on baby you have to get up" "ok mummy" I then picked him up and took him over to my bed and got him dressed and when he was dressed we went downstairs and I put James in the pram and we walked out in to the pub area and I walked over to my dad and said "me, Joe and James are going to town" "ok and do you need any money" "if you don't mind" he then passed me £100 and said "treat yourself" we then walked out the pub and we walked over to Stacie's flat as Joe needed to get his money and when he got it we left for town and when we got there Joe said "I will meet you at McDonald's in 10 minutes" "ok see you then" we then walked away from Joe.
Joes POV
When Leah walked off I went in to the jewellers and bought an engagement ring for her and when I bought it I put it in my pocket and walked out and made my way to McDonald's and when I got there I saw Leah so I walked over to her and we went to different shops and by the time we were finished she had loads of bags on the pram and I was carrying some bags as well and we was walking home and when we got home we took everything upstairs and put everything away and I said "Leah I will be back now" "ok" I then walked downstairs and saw her dad at the bar so I walked over to him and said "hi Mick am just wondering if you could get your Leah and bring her down here please" "yes of course Joe" Mick then walked upstairs and 5 minutes later he came back with Leah and James and when she saw me she walked over to me and I took James of her and passed him to Nancy and I turned to her and said "Leah you make me the happiest man on earth so I what I would like to know is will you marry me" I said that as I pulled the ring out and she had to think for a second then she said "of course I will" I then put the ring on her finger and Nancy came over to us and said "congratulations guys" then Leah said "thanks sis" I then grabbed James off her and we walked upstairs and I put James on the floor and he played with his toys and I sat on the bed next to Leah.
Leah's POV
When Joe sat next to me I said "who gave you the idea to ask me to marry you" "well the reason that I love you and I want to be with you forever" "aww that's sweet" "well I am sweet babes" "I know" I then kissed him and he kissed me back and then James started crying so we stopped kissing and I picked James and said "what's up baby" "me wants uncle Lee" "come on then" i then opened the door and turned to Joe and said "are you coming babes" "yes of course" we then walked downstairs and when we got to the pub area James must of saw Lee as he said "look mummy there is Lee" I then took James over to Lee and said "someone wanted to see you" then Lee said "come here little man" I then walked back upstairs with Joe and we went to the bedroom and we lied on the bed for a bit until I got on top of Joe and started kissing him which led onto more and when we stopped we both got dressed and went downstairs were I saw Nancy on the floor so I ran over to my dad and said "what's happened" "she fainted because she was attacked" I then started crying and knew exactly who it was so I ran out the pub and when I looked back I saw Joe following me and I ran straight to where Dean was staying so she. I got there I started banging on the door and when the door opened I stormed in and went over to Dean and said "how dare you attack my sister" "I told you what would happen if you told someone that I attacked you" "well you didn't need to do it to my sister" I then got carried outside and when they put me down I turned around and saw Joe and I wrapped my arms round his neck and he said "its ok babe am here" "can we go see your sister please" "yes of course come on" we then walked to Joes sisters and when we got there stacie let us in and when she saw that I was upset she said "hey what's my brother done now" "it's not Joe its Dean" "what's he done" "well the day before we arrived at the square my mum and dad had gone out and Lee, Nancy and Johnny went with them so I stayed in and when thy went out Dean must of been watching the house as he got in somehow and attacked me and today he did the same to Nancy" "it's ok and you have our Joe to keep you safe" "I know" Joe then pulled me into hug and we left the flat where I saw Dean sat on the bench so I walked over to him and saw that he had his bags so I said "oh so your mum has actually kicked you out now well guess what she has done the right thing you scumbag" he then grabbed me so I shouted "GET OFF ME NOW" "not until you go over to my mum and say you lied" "NO AND GET THE HELL OF ME WILL YOU, YOU LITTLE SCUMBAG" "well I won't let go of you, you little slag" then I saw Shirley approach us and she said "Dean get of your sister" he then let go of me so I said "he is my brother" "yes he is Leah" "well why would my own brother attack me then and did you know that I was your sister Dean" "yes I did and am glad that I attacked you" I then started hitting him while shouting "I HATE YOU AND YOU ARE NOT MY BROTHER" I then felt someone lift me up and when I turned around I saw my dad so I wrapped my arms around his neck and then I moved away from him and said "dad please tell me that Dean isn't my brother" "he is sweetie but it was before you,Lee,Nancy and Johnny was born and way before I met your mum so I never cheated on her" " so I have a brother who attacked me" the Dean said "well come and give me a hug sis" then Lee said "you are not to come near my family and that means Shirley and especially Leah" "but Lee she is my little sister" "I know but I am keeping her safe so stay away from her" then Dean punched Lee so I turned away and Joe hugged me and I cried in to his chest then I heard my dad say "Lee can you hear me" I then turned around and saw him unconscious so I phoned an ambulance and 20 minutes later it turned up and me and Joe jumped in to the ambulance so my dad said "we will meet you there" then they closed the doors so I grabbed Lee's hand and said "come on Lee please wake up as I need you to protect me from Dean and if you don't wake now then I will rob all of your favourite CDs" then Joe said "hey I will protect you" "I know I am just trying to wake him up" then we gotta to hospital and he got taken straight through and after about 10 minutes the nurse came out so I stood up and said "is my brother ok" "he has slipped into a coma and we don't know when he will wake up" "well can we see him" "yes he is in that room" we then walked in to Lee's room and I saw how peaceful he looked so I went to sit by his side and I started crying and I said "please Lee wake up for me" then the machine started beeping and a load of nurses and doctors came in and one of the nurses started doing resus and after about 20 minutes she said "time of death 12:20" I then started crying really bad and the same nurse said "sorry about your loss" I then sat down on the chair crying and then Joe pulled me of the chair and pulled me in to a hug and said "it's going to be ok" we then walked out and I was still crying and my dad came running in and said "sorry we so long there is loads of traffic and why are you crying princess" "You are to late dad" "what do you mean to late" "you will have to ask the nurse" he then went over to the nurse and said "what does my daughter mean that I am to late" "who are you sir" "I am the father of Lee Carter" "oh I am so sorry but he died 10 minutes ago" my dad then walked over to us and said "we are to late because he died 10 minutes ago" then Nancy started crying and Dean walked in and I stormed over to him and said "this is your fault that my brother died" "am so sorry Leah" "well I am gonna tell the police" then the police walked in and said "no need as your aunt Shirley phoned us" the another policeman came in and before he could say anything my dad walked back out of Lee's room and said "he is alive" then the policewoman said "right we don't need to arrest you then" then I saw Dean face change to annoyed so I said "Dean why are you annoyed that my brother is alive" "because I wanted him dead so that I could rule your life" "you wanted your own brother dead do you know that is sick" then policewoman said "Dean Wicks I am arresting you on suspicion of trying to commit murder you do not have to say anything and anything you do say may rely on in court" he then got handcuffed and taken out the hospital and I ran in to Lee's room and said "I thought I its you forever" "you can't get rid of me that easy and hands of my CDs you" "ok" then the rest of the family walked in and I said "Joe come here" he then walked over to me and I stood up and he sat on the chair and I sat on his knee and we started talking and laughing until we had to go home and when we got home I saw Tina with James so I walked over to them and picked James up and said "have you missed me and daddy" "yes but me play with auntie Tina" "come on we need to get you to bed" me,Joe and James then walked upstairs and went to our room where I put James in his pyjamas and put him go bed and when he was asleep I got my pyjamas on and so did Joe and we lied on the bed and started kissing and it led on to something more again and when we stopped I fell straight asleep.
4 days later
When I woke that morning I felt really sick and my period was late my 4 days so I got dressed and grabbed some money and went to the shop and bought a pregnancy test and when I bought it I walked back to the pub and when I got there I walked in the bathroom and done the test but I had to wait 3 minutes and when the 3 minutes was over I turned the test over it said "positive" I then walked out the bathroom and I walked back in to my room where Joe was still asleep so I sat on the bed and said "babe can you wake up as I need to tell you something" he then woke up and said "what's up" I then passed him the pregnancy test and he looked shocked but said "I am happy for you babes and I will be there for you" I then took the test of him and went to show Lee and when I walked in his room I see that he was still asleep so I walked over to him and said "Lee I need to tell you something" he then sat up and said "what's up baby sister" I then passed him the test and he looked shocked at first but then he pulled me into a hug and I grabbed the test off him and walked back in to my room where Joe was and he was dressed and he was getting James dressed and when we was all ready we walked out the pub and walked to Stacie's flat and when she answered the door she grabbed James and we walked in the living room where I got the test out and passed it to her and she said "am gonna be an aunt again" "yes you are and you are gonna have a sister-in-law" "why" I then showed her the ring and she said "wow my brother proposed to you" "yep and I can't wait to have this little one and let's hope this one is a girl" then we walked out the flat and we was walking back to the pub when I saw Dean getting out of a taxi so I turned to Joe and said "why is Dean out of prison" "I don't know babes come on" we then walked to the pub and when we got there we walked in and I passed James to Joe and walked over to Lee and said "guess who we have just seen" "who baby sis" "we have just seen Dean getting out of a taxi and heading here" "he is supposed to be in prison" then Dean walked in and said "there is my favourite little sister" "leave me alone Dean you horrible little scumbag" "don't talk to your brother like that" "you are never gonna be my brother and I only have two brothers and one sister" I then walked round the other side of the bar and hugged Lee and he said "its ok Leah he won't go near you" "ok" me and Joe then took James upstairs and I put him down for a nap and I got the baby monitor and took it down with me and I got down I started serving people and Joe was stood with me then Dean walked out and me and Joe walked back upstairs and we fell asleep.
6 months later
I was due in less than a month and my stomach was a little big and when I woke that morning I was just lying in bed until Joe woke up and said "so what are we doing today" "I think we should just spend the day in bed" "ok" and just lied in and after a bit I started getting stomach pains really bad but I put it down to being hungry so I walked in the kitchen but when I was by then sink I felt a liquid running between my legs so I shouted Joe and he came running in and when he saw the liquid on the floor he rushed over to me so I said "go and get Lee please babe" he then went to get Lee and when he came back Lee came running in and said "what's up" "am in labour" then Joe phoned an ambulance and 10 minutes later the ambulance arrived and I got taken to hospital with Joe by my side and when we got to the hospital I got taken straight through with Joe following and after about 2 hours I have birth to a beautiful little girl and then the doctor took the baby over to the other side of the room so she could be cleaned and Joe went over and cut the cord then Joe walked back over to me and said "she is beautiful babe" "I know she is" then my mum and dad walked in and my dad was holding James and my mum was holding the car seat and some clothes so she passed me the clothes and I got the baby changed and then the nurse walked in and said "you and the baby are fine so you can both go home now" "thank you" Joe then said "babe have you thought of any names yet" "yes I was thinking Isla Carter as I want James to have your second name" "ok so are baby girl is officially called Isla Carter" "no it's Isla Stacey Carter" "really our Stacey would love that" we then left the hospital and we was in the car on our way back to the pub and when we got there I saw Lee stood at the bar and when he saw me he walked over to me and grabbed the car seat of me and put it on the bar where he looked at the baby and Nancy said "have you got a name for her" that's when I realised Stacey was in the pub so I said "yes I have" "well what is it" "well I think you should all come and meet Isla Stacey Carter" then Stacey walked over to me and said "how come she has my name for her middle name" "because you have done everything for me" then I picked the car seat up and Joe picked James up and we walked upstairs and went in to my room where I saw another door so I walked in and there was a nursery for the baby so I took Isla out of the car seat and put her in the cot when Joe walked in he said "your dad and Lee done this every time we went out" "really" "yes" I then picked Isla up and Joe picked James up and we walked downstairs and when I saw my dad I walked over to him and said "thanks for doing the room for Isla dad" "it's ok princess" I then saw Lee so I walked over to him and said "thanks for doing the room for Isla" "anything for my little sister" I then hugged him and we walked upstairs were I put Islas pyjamas on her while Joe put James pyjamas on him and I put Isla in her cot and Joe put James into his bed and me and Joe got our pyjamas on and we lied in bed and watching tele while I lied my head on his chest and half way through the film I fell asleep.
