It's not easy to love you, I'll let you trample on my heart as much as you want because not loving you surely is an impossibility _ Yacob.

December, 2012.

The chilly winter wind fanned the exposed cheeks of a clueless eight year old boy the moment he stepped out of the van. The snow was thick, the night was dark and he was afraid. He took a shaky breath as he looked back inside the van. His older brother gave him a sad smile as he too stepped out of the van. Lucas, was the older boys name. He looked sad and the bags under his eyes stood as evidence of his sorrow.

He'd been crying the whole drive to wherever they were now. Their mother was a whole mess. The two boys stood quietly as they waited for her to step out of the vehicle. She took one shaky breath before she again broke into hysterical sobs, resting her head on the wheel as her shoulder trembled.

Lucas exhaled and pulled Tyler for a hug, in hopes of comforting him or maybe seeking comfort inn his own brother. Tyler hugged the twelve year old back. He was scared, he didn't know why their mother was crying or why they were in some place far away from home. Where was his dad? Tomorrow is Christmas and he promised to get him a bike on Christmas Eve.

"Mommy? Are you alright?" He questioned innocently, Lucas tightened his hold on the younger, anxiously waiting for his mother's reply. The lady looked at her sons and gave a sad smile. More tears rolled down her cheeks as she stepped out of the van and rushed to her sons to embraced them.

"Mommy's not fine but she's going to be fine. We are all going to be fine okay?" The two boys nodded, Lucas couldn't hold back his tears anymore so his cried, their mommy cried and Tyler who hated seeing his mother and brother crying cried, too.

"Where's daddy?" The confused youngest asked causing more sobs to escape his mother's lips. She knelt and cupped his chubby cheeks that were coated pink from the cold winter wind and from crying.

"Daddy's not with us. It's just the three of us now, honey." She answered and hugged the boy. Tyler cried, the way his mother said it worried him, he may never see his father again.

The small family cried, the neighborhood shined bright,a contrast to the sad family,  with many lights and Christmas trees displayed on the streets. It was a happy time for everyone, everyone but the new family that has just moved into the neighborhood.

But just as their mother said, it would be alright. Wouldn't it?

..

Days were hard but they passed, weeks flew by, months and it was time for the eight year old boy to go to school, well he's been going to for the past week but he hated it. He always hated school but he dreaded his new school.

Tyler sighed as he put on his backpack and ran to school. He was greeted by the slightly warm spring breeze. At least it wasn't as cold as before.

His mother always told him of how elementary school was fun and exciting. How sweet it is to find new friends. Tyler hated the idea of getting friends to the core. He thought it would be good, getting friends but the kids here, they were another breed. Rude, unruly, cruel and mostly ugly.

Well, not exactly. He hated school mainly because he had no friends, everyone had already made friends by the time he came, no one wanted to talk to him. He was just a nobody without a father, of course they wouldn't talk to him.

He shrugged off his backpack when his entered the room, he pulled out his teddy from his backpack and smiled as he placed it on the table. He loved it, it was the only thing left of his dad (that he could carry to school) he couldn't carry an album to school. Besides, the teddy was more sentimental, it was the last present he got from his father.
