Another Love

Chapter 3

"If you want to live here, you must learn how to ride one of these. They are called Tsurak" Tonowari says to Jake.

They are back at sea, whilst Tay'ra had ended her lesson with Jake, having other errands to run.

"Tsurak is what I, Ronal, and other hunters here ride. If you are willing to become one of us, you must become a hunter. Therefore, you must be willing to ride one of these" Tonowari says.

Jake nods, as he's now sat on top.

He takes his tswim and pulls it forward, initiating the Tsaheylu between the two of them.

The energy between the two did not match, causing the Tsurak to move around.

But because of how big it was, Tonowari had suggested help from two of his men, and himself, as they hold down the Tsurak, trying their best to tame it.

"Maybe you should start off with something smaller and gentle. Like an ilu" Tonowari says.

"I've got this" Jake tilts his head and looks at Tonowari.

Tonowari nods, giving an understanding pout.

Maybe he judged him quite harshly.
Maybe Jake has got this.

Jake positions himself as Tonowari and his men move back, letting Jake begin riding.

Tay'ra is seen nearby, as she had gone out to look for Ronal. By her father's orders.

As she is walking, she notices Tonowari.

And who would know where Ronal is, better than Tonowari himself.

But before she calls out to him, she spots Jake, as he is sat on the Tsurak.

She smiles, seeing that he was doing great. But it had only lasted a couple of seconds before her smile had faded, seeing that he had off.

Tonowari's men begin to laugh, along with Tonowari himself.

His judgement was right after all.

Tay'ra let's out a little laugh herself, as she found him pleasantly amusing.

Jake grunts as he was now back into the ocean again, as the Tsurak had left him on his own.

As he's turning around to go back, he spots Tay'ra.

He smiles awkwardly, feeling embarrassed by himself.

It was lucky that she did not hear him tell Tonowari that he 'got it' because he most certainly did not.

However, she felt embarrassed in front of him earlier on, therefore it was fair and square.

Tonowari notices Jake smiling.

He follows his eyes, only to see Tay'ra who was stood, looking back at Jake, smiling back at him herself.

"Tay'ra" Tonowari calls out, getting her attention before he dives into the water and swims his way towards her.

Tay'ra awaits until Tonowari is stood in front of her, only to greet him in the proper way that she should.

"You know you do not have to greet me that way Tay'ra. I am the Chief but I am also your sisters mate. You are just like a sister to me" Tonowari says.

She nods and smiles, "but rules are rules, therefore I will follow them. If not, my sister will rip me apart. Speaking of which, I have come to ask where she is. My father is waiting for her before we have dinner tonight.

Tonowari sighs, "she will not come."

Tay'ra looks at him confused.

"She knows that your father has told Jake to eat with him, therefore she will not come. You know she does not wish to be in the same room as him" Tonowari says.
