PART 1
You woke up in the morning to see the sun bouncing off the lake and shining in through your window. You walked to the window, your eyes still sleepy, and looked outside. It was so nice out. California was your favorite place. Everyone was always so upbeat and happy, and the peaceful energy was amazing. You went to the beach everyday, and surfed, it was just a great life. Your parents both worked, so they didn't care much about what you did. It was upsetting sometimes, as you wish you had a closer bond with both of them. But you knew they loved you, and you sure did love them. Your phone bleeped from across the room and it snapped you back into reality. You looked out the window one last time before going to see who it was. It was your best friend Kaitlin.
"Hey Camille, mall today? Just you me, Cassidy, Cassie and Ashley? We all need to catch up! Let me know!(:"
Kaitlin was so amazing, she was that best friend that was always there for you. The one that got the phone calls when you were crying because of that boyfriend she never liked, the one that was always there to smooth things out after a fight, and the one that always knew you better than you knew yourself. You smiled, and quickly typed back;
"Hey Kait, deff mall today! I miss you guys! <3"
You stick your phone in your yoga pants, and stomped down the steps and went to the kitchen. You looked around and sighed, your mom forgot to buy food again. You grabbed an apple and took a few bites. You tossed it in the trash and went back upstairs. You threw your phone on your bed and went to your closet. What should you wear? You walked over to your phone and checked the weather. It was going to be 87 degrees today! Shorts were a must! You put your phone down and walked to your closet again. You pulled out those favorite pair of shorts that you had, and a grey crop top. You put your hair down and plugged in your straightener. You carefully brushed the knots out of your hair, and sat in front of the mirror. The straightener was already hot, so you started straightening it. A million thoughts raced through your mind as you pulled your straightener from the top of your head to the tips of your hair. They weren't even logical thoughts, just thoughts about nothing. Your hair was finished, and you took a deep breath as you walked to your bed where you placed your clothes. You quickly got dressed, and went back to check your phone. Kait had texted you, but you were so deep in thought you never realized it. You opened it and read;
"Almost there bitch! Can't wait to see you, you better be ready!(:"
You stuck your phone in your back pocket and walked downstairs. Just in time obviously, because Kait was pulling into the driveway. You knew it was her without even knowing it was her because of the loud music. Kait loved her music blasting, but then again what girl didn't? You slid on your grey Toms, and ran out the door. You jumped in the car and put your seat belt on as Kait backed out of the drive way. You remembered that you didn't text your mom, so you pulled out your phone and quickly typed;
"Hey mom, going to the mall with a few friends & by the way you never bought food." You threw your phone on your lap and looked in the mirror to realize Cassie, Cassidy and Ashley were already sitting in the back, looking at you intently.
"What?" you asked.
"Who ya textin?" Ashley winked
"Is it a boyy?" Cassidy chimed.
You groaned, "It was my mom, guys! If I had a guy you would be the first to know!"
"Has there been anyone since Troy?" asked Kait
You sighed. You hated when any of them brought up Troy. "No" you finally said.
"He was an asshole, I knew I never liked him." Kait said
