It was a crispy Sunday morning, the sun was coming up and the birds were chirping. As usual on Sunday's, Stacey had to get up early and do the chores.

Stacey had always done all the work, she was used to being worked hard so it didn't bother her much, except she didn't like it, being stuck at the house she was now in.

"You don't think I can run away do you?" She asked silently starring at a dog that was sniffing around in the yard. "Your probably right.." She said sighing at the ground.

"Get back to work! We have a busy day tomorrow!" Her mom yelled from the kitchen window. "And get a hair cut! You need one!" Stacey took some of her hair and looked at it.

It was super long. She really did need a hair cut. Sighing she dropped the broom she was using while doing her chores, and walked off to get a hair cut.

She walked through the woods, seeing a rather young looking woman sitting under a tree, writing in a book. She was curious, so she decided to see what she was writing about, or, even drawing about.

She took slow steps to the woman, stepping on a twig along the way. Hearing this happen the woman jumped up, spun around, and pulled out a twig. "I got a twig and I'm not afraid to use it!" The woman yelled.

"Woah, please calm down." Stacey said trying to calm her down. "I'm nothing to be scared of, I just wanted to see what you are doing in the book." The woman glanced at her and dropped the twig. "I'm sorry child, Its easy to frighten me. Plus, you can see what I'm drawing, come sit down." The woman said as she sat down patting a seat next to her.

She sat down next to the woman, and looked at the detailed drawing of a lake that she drew. "It's beautiful, I've never seen this lake before." She said in awe of the drawing.

The woman looked her. "You may never want to see this lake." She said seriously. Trying to change the subject, Stacey asked her a question. "How old are you?" "One hundred and sixty-seven." The woman told her seriously.

"No, I mean really!" Stacey said laughing. "If you insist, I'm twenty." The woman said smiling. "Cool! I'm ten." She say smiling back.

The woman got up, and smiled. "Call me Jessie if you'd like." "Ok, call me Stacey." She replied happily.

"I have to go," Jessie said. "But I'll be back tomorrow if you would like to speak again."she said waving and running away. "I'll be here." Stacey said. Remembering she had to go for a hair cut, she ran to get one.

She walked through a neighborhood that she never liked, but they cut hair the best there. So she walked into a place called, Musical hair cutters. For some strange reason they sang to you while they cut your hair.

But instead of complaining, Stacey sighed and walked inside. Ready to expect whatever happens.
