❝ you and me, forevermore. ❞

"Just something you lost a few years back." He tells me casually.

I take the necklace in my hand and examine it. It's not a copy of it. It's the exact one I lost.

"How did you find it?" I finally manage to ask, looking back at him.

"You know," He starts, brushing it off as if nothing. "I just found it."

"You didn't just find it. I still remember looking for it for hours around the whole house like it was yesterday. How'd you find it?" I insist.

"Well," He finally starts answering my question. "when Pedri moved out of you guys's old house, I helped him. We cleaned out everything, like any normal person moving houses would. I was the one to pack away your bedroom. So, as I packed away your things. I found it. It was under your wardrobe." No shit I couldn't find it then, how was I supposed to dissemble a whole wardrobe to find that necklace?

I'm about to thank him until I realize something, "Pedri moved out a month after I did. Why didn't you just give it to him to give it to me or throw it away, give it to someone else?" I ask.

"I thought about giving it back to Pedri but," He thinks for a second before speaking his mind. "it was the only thing I had of you. I'd always go to Pedri with the intention of giving it back, yet whenever I held it in my hand, I couldn't let it go. I'm sorry, I know you loved it so much for whatever reason but it was the only piece of you I had." He opens up.

I still can't believe that he liked me this whole time. It's funny how all the while I hated him, he liked me. Still, I think there was a part of me that always knew I never really hated him.

"Why are you giving it to me now?"

"Because I don't need it anymore. It was a piece of you, now I have all of you."

I grin at his words, feeling a flutter in my stomach. How the hell did I get so lucky with him?

Without thinking, I lean in and pressed my lips to his. He's caught off guard at first, but quickly responds, wrapping his arms around me and deepening the kiss.

As we pulled away, I looked into his eyes and smiled. "I don't deserve you." I tell him.

"You're right," I thought he was just making one of his comments. "you deserve the world." He finishes his sentence and I want to kiss him again but Pedri gets out of the bathroom.

"Okay, let's get moving." He orders, clapping his hands together. He notices that we're sat kind of very close to each other and his expression turned into disgust. "Were you guys making out while I was in the toilet?"

"Were you in the toilet while we were making out?" I turn the situation around which does nothing other than gross him out even more.

"Can we just leave?" He asks, basically halfway out the door.

I chuckle before looking down at the necklace in my hand. "Would you do me the honors?" I ask him, holding the necklace up.

"Gladly." He smiles, taking the necklace and I turn my back to him. I lift my hair up as he puts the necklace around my neck and attaches it. "Here you go." He kisses my cheek from behind and I let go of my hair.

"Thank you." I smile, looking back at him.

We went out for lunch at Chipotle. It was their first time so we may have ordered every single thing on the menu and ate a bit of everything for them to try.

We took the rest of the leftovers for the house. Olive's gonna enjoy them.

I dropped them off back at the apartment and had to leave immediately or else I'd be late to meeting Taylor.

Pablo offered to come with me but to be honest, I was afraid to leave Pedri alone in my house. Olive wouldn't be back for at least thirty minutes and God knows how my brother could turn the place upside down.

I live in a building supper expensive and filled with rich people who will complain on me if I so much as yell out someone's name. If Pedri burns down the building, I have no idea how and when they'll kill me.

I also asked him if he could feed Pablito if it was no problem and of course he said yes because I have the perfect boyfriend.

I'm meeting Taylor at a cafe just around the street. If I wasn't in a rush, I would've probably walked.

Once I'm inside, I spot her sitting in the corner with glasses and a cap. Probably to hide from paparazzis. I do that often too but not when I'm inside.

She sees me coming up to her and drops her phone to the table and stands up to hug me. "Hi honey," She squeezes me tight.

"Hey Tay." I smile as we pull back and sit down.

"How is everything? Enjoying the soccer life?" She asks and I love her too much and don't have the energy at all to correct her.

"It's great. Football's great." I still hint a bit. "How bout you? Happy your tour is over?"

"Kind of sad it's over, it was fun. But, I'm spending way more time with the husband and my family right now."

(A/N: in my mind her and Joe didn't break up and are married by 2026.)

"Speaking of husband," I start and her expression changes immediately, hearing what I have to say. "I actually have a boyfriend."

She smiles insanely and can almost scream at my news. "No way!" She tries to hold her excitement. She's happier for me than I am. "Is this why you had to add that song last minute to the album?" She asks getting it right. I nod my head yes making her even more excited. It's hard to believe she's almost twice my age. "Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!" She spins.

"What? What? What?"

"Please tell me it's your brothers friend. You know, the one who we got on stage. Kind of shy, keeps staring at you..."

"It is." I admit and she finally lets out that rage of excitement making the people that weren't already looking at us also look at us.

"I'm sorry." Taylor calms down, still laughing. "But, hey while everyone's looking at us, check out Midnights, our new album!" She announces, chiming again.

"Also, two coffees please." I ask one of the waiters that was also staring at us. He nods his head in understanding and walks to the coffee machine.

I think she's calmed down until; "Tomorrow night, vote for us too! iHeart Radio Awards." She speaks up again.

"Shut up!" I whisper yell, trying to sit her back down.

"Okay, I'm done, enjoy your coffee." She finally calms down and sits properly on the chair.

She looks back at me with the hugest grin on her face and I let out a laugh at her. "You're amazingly stupid." I chuckle. "I love you."

(A/N: Super late update, i'm sorryyy. I'm on vacation and completely forgot. I just wrote this on the beach. I'll update when I'm back if I don't in the next four days, I swear. Maybe even double update. Enjoy your summer luvs❤️)
