Artificial Love
As a tender blossom, I once basked in my own innocence, unfurling my petals to the world with a naivete that was both pure and vulnerable. But when love came knocking, I was swept up in a whirlwind of emotions, heedless of the dangers that lurked beneath the surface.
He appeared before me like a beacon of light, offering his hand and his heart in a pledge of eternal devotion. I fell under his spell, mesmerized by his every touch, his every word. I thought I had found my happily ever after, but alas, it was all a cruel illusion.
His promises were as fleeting as the wind, his embrace nothing but a trap to ensnare my fragile heart. With each passing day, I wilted and withered, drained of my essence by his false affections.
I had mistaken him for a shining star, but in reality, he was nothing but a black hole, sucking the life out of me with every passing moment. Love can be a terrifying force, especially when it is built on a foundation of deceit and lies. But in the end, I emerged from this trial stronger and wiser, with a newfound appreciation for the true meaning of love.
It was that heartbreaking encounter
who made this flimsy blossom
a rose filled with thorns.- Sterling Frost
