The Storm Series: STORM INCOMING

Book I

Chapter 1

It was an eerie night all was dark and I heard a noise. I walked towards it cautiously scared to my wits. A black cat suddenly jumped out from behind a huge stack of old unused boxes. My heart skipped a beat.

I can't stop now. I thought to myself walking into the dark abandoned ally. I had been on a few missions till now but darkness was something I was still afraid of.

I was walking forward slowly and steadily making sure to fight of any danger that came for me from the endless dark. My eyes started adjusting to the darkness which I was glad about. As I walked, I could feel someone following me. I turned around ready to attack when I was attacked by a blinding flash of light. My eyes had just started adjusting to the dark sometimes things don't go the way you want them to especially in these damn missions. The only thing I could see through those blinding lights was a figure.... A figure that looked very masculine taller than that of an average man. The figure raised its hand, I got ready to fight. But the figure pointed to something behind me. I turned my head to look behind me that is when I realized I was surrounded by a lot of men with guns in their hand wearing a black attire with a wire going in their ears armed with the best guns. I couldn't fight now I was severely out numbered. The figure in the front of me spoke up "capture her!" in a commanding voice. This was my time to run.

I reached into my pocket and threw a ball on the ground grey colored smoke filled the ally and I slipped through the window of a house right next to me. The building I slipped into looked very old with no maintenance. I noticed my long black hair were open

Shit the rubber band must have fallen while I was in slipping the window but I can't stop right now or I will be captured I thought to myself.

I started looking for a door analyzing the dusty room. It looked like a storage room of some kind. I jerked myself out of the thought of this crappy old room and walked through the long brown colored door. Just outside the room was a long hallway with a wooden floor where many planks were missing. I stepped forward ready to find a good hiding spot or make a run. When the floor board squeaked.

"Great! I have to roam around with this squeaking what if someone hears it and finds me here" I whispered to myself.

"What are you doing here you ungrateful brat?" I heard a voice.

Shocked I turned around. It was a boy he looked like he was in his teens with blonde hair covering his forehead. He was wearing a long black coat. A few silver rings on his right hand shimmered brightly in the dark. He looked disgusted and was looking me up and down. He had fair skin with a small clean cut on his face below his right eye, which most probably was made by a knife.

"Uhh.... I am sorry but I didn't think anyone was here.... Seeing the condition of the place....no offense" I exclaimed mentally prepared to be attacked.

"Who are you?! Get out right now or I will have to attack"

"Ok ok bro calm down I am leaving just tell me the way to the door huh ok?"

"Yeah, there is no way I am telling you the way to the door you are leaving from the area you came in from. Get out now! Or else"

"Ok ok I am leaving calm down." I entered the storage looking room again and peeked through the window. I heard voices from around the corner. The perfect time to make my escape.

I had to leave right now; I didn't know what the guy was capable of. I started to leave, trying not to be noticed but then a man came around the corner and saw me. We made eye contact. I had to act quickly before he could call the others. I started running towards the guy and before he could say anything I punched him in the face. He fainted right then and there. I needed to learn to control my strength. Now that I was finally out in the real world.
