~ BUS STOP ~
POVEGLIANO VERONESE
MONDAY, 7:15 AM
The scene shifted to a bus stop in Povegliano Veronese where Loris took a bus with some kids to school every day. He waited stationary at the bus stop looking around, watching how Eye Of Earth had changed the town by dominating it with the league logo, advertising flyers, billboards, and even hologram banners attached to light poles. For him it seemed like living in the future, but everything that was once the country, before Eye Of Earth was born, had remained the same, had not changed one iota, only the advertising pollution of this self centered heroic league. The few students with him at a halt looked with resentment and displeasure at their city dominated by Ethan's greed and fake promise. They could not rebel, they could not go against him or risk their lives, even taking their loved ones with them. Loris wistfully noticed boys like him thinking maybe like him, but no one had to dare to rebel. The only safe place was the "Scholastic Domain" in Villafranca di Verona, an area of the city completely insulated from Eye Of Earth thinking, in fact one was free to do anything or have one's say about I.M.P., moreover it was made up of three schools: Carlo Anti, Ettore Bolisani and Enrico Medi, although it was the first two schools that formed this domain the most. After a while, an almost futuristic Eye Of Earth branded bus arrived at the bus stop, and with no other choice, Loris and the other students took it with disgust. Everywhere they went they saw something related to Ethan or that league, like some kind of disease that was spreading more and more. Crossing the city limits, they arrived in Villafranca di Verona where they noticed the same signs advertising Ethan, compared to the Scholastic Domain, which had none at all. He got off the bus and walked halfway across half the city through crowds, honking noises, screaming and fake happiness, nonexistent security...But Loris did not lose heart and walked as if no one existed around him, going on his way.
~ SCHOLASTIC DOMAIN ~
CARLO ANTI, ETTORE BOLISANI
VILLAFRANCA DI VERONA
MONDAY, 7:46 AM
He finally arrived at the school, exactly at Charles Anti, where students were divided into groups, some chatting, some studying at the last minute, some smoking a cigarette, or some simply staying with their girlfriends or alone. The protagonist looked around happy that the mayor had not allowed those pathetic heroes to carpet with greed and pretense even the place where youth was the heart that moved the country, which would surely change everyone's future for the better despite the difficulties. The structure of the Carlo Anti school, from what could be seen from the outside right away, was circular in shape with brick red walls, a building in the left side with a giant porthole window that served as the Ettore Bolisani school gymnasium, then the building in the right side was a parallelepiped with lots of windows and a white steel cornice, also all these buildings were always colored with this red brick color. Then behind these buildings, exactly attached to the gymnasium of the Ettore Bolisani School, there was a larger building that was used by the Carlo Anti students to do physical activities, a gymnasium. On the other side, however, was a mega building similar in size to the gymnasium, part of which belonged to the Carlo Anti, while the rest was actually the Ettore Bolisani school. Obviously they had two more floors than the Carlo Anti, and to navigate between floors the poor Bolisani students had to use a very tall outdoor staircase every day. Peace be upon them who suffered from vertigo! Or they would access a secondary entrance that divided the Carlo Anti and the Ettore Bolisani, where from a large and high glass window they could see internal stairs. In addition to this, to access the school, students had to pass through a gate near Carlo Anti that led via a long path named the "Avenue of the Athletes", to the back yard as the main entrance of the Ettore Bolisani school was completely on the opposite side of the protagonist's school. However, connecting these two schools was an immense back yard where the floor was made mostly of concrete, while the rest was grass with some trees. Our boy protagonist, to enter Carlo Anti, walked under a long white crescent shaped canopy, complete with national flags hanging from some poles on the front facade of the school. Through the main glass doors, he arrived at the main atrium of the school, and from the structural shape seen outside, it was circular with white walls, administrative offices surrounded the atrium while in the center were round blue tables with some steel chairs where some students sat. To the right of the entrance was a white secretarial counter full of papers, documents, schoolbooks, and full of responsibilities! In front of him he could see the teaching office, which you could recognize by the line of students and the sliding window, in fact they used it if you had to deliver papers or talk about administrative issues. Then to the left of the office was the office of the Vice Principal, the right hand man of the Principal of Carlo Anti. After that there was a short, narrow corridor that led to the back yard and the Ettore Bolisani School. To the right of the office, however, was that of the Principal, the one who ran Carlo Anti by busting her butt from morning to night to control her beloved school. Next, adjacent to the secretary's office was the entrance to the gyms and locker rooms with even a display case that contained trophies of all kinds, nothing striking, but we could tell that the Carlo Anti owned a large gymnasium, that is, the huge building, and a smaller gymnasium. Near the secretary's office, exactly to the right of the main atrium, was a wide main corridor leading to a smaller atrium, classrooms, upper floors, and basements. The Carlo Anti consisted of no less than three floors, that is, ground floor, second floor and second floor, complete with basements that were used by art students to unleash their creativity. Loris walked down the main hallway decorated with pictures illustrating student projects such as art, the most dominant in school decorations. If they were not there, the school would be without vibrancy with their creations, plus they had designed their school logo and made decorative banners for the main hall. The floor of the entire ground floor was gray mixed black marble, while those of the hallways throughout the school were simply gray and rough, not marble though. Next to the stairs were vending machines where students or faculty could take a break with a snack or coffee, a wooden counter placed nearby for school employees, in the right wall of the main hallway was an elevator, an infirmary and various classrooms, while on the other side was the faculty lounge and other classrooms. Arriving in the small lobby on the ground floor, he greeted some professors who stood at the vending machines chatting with some of their other colleagues. The small atrium, as well as the others on the upper floors, divided the school into two zones: B, that is, the corridors that led toward the Ettore Bolisani school through fire doors, A represented the corridors that led toward where people normally came to school from, again concluded with fire doors as in the previous zone. In fact, these somewhat narrower but endless corridors allowed access to classrooms, and the same thing in the A side. In the A side, after one had turned the corner to the right near the vending machines, there were more classrooms, but the particularity of this area was the presence of teaching laboratories, on the ground floor were the scientific ones, on the second floor the computer ones, and on the second floor the automation ones. Loris climbed the stairs with other boys and reached one of the most used places in the whole school, namely the second floor. As mentioned earlier, there was a small atrium that divided the school in two, except that in front of him was the office of the school technical assistants, and to the right of the room was a short and small corridor that provided access to the Main Hall, a meeting place for school assemblies or educational events. Loris went left, into Zone A, passing some of his friends at the vending machines, and once he turned the corner keeping to the right he saw in the distance, near his classroom, his classmate, or rather, one of the class representatives, waiting for him. Before he proceeded, the second floor was considered by the students to be the most unkempt and shabby. The pale green walls certainly did not give this part of the school a good look, the classrooms were badly put together with desks and chairs in disrepair, in short worse than a zoo, not to mention the Automation and Telecommunications labs... A mess of wires and objects you couldn't imagine. But the most focal point of this floor was the technical office on side A of the Carlo Anti, right in the small atrium.
