As they mount up to go to Thalassia, Taehyung smiles when he notices the marks on Jin's and Namjoon's shoulders. When Jin grimaces, Taehyung softly giggles which earns him a glare from his older brother.
"Congratulations on your mating." Taehyung smiles as he looks at Jin and Namjoon.
"Thank you." Namjoon lovingly smiles and looks at his mate.
"Taehyung, may I stay here and care for Yoongi?" Hoseok asks as he approaches Taehyung.
"You may." Taehyung softly responds when he sees the sorrow in Hoseok's eyes. "Please, take good care of him."
"I will." Hoseok smiles and bows to Taehyung.
"It is time to ride out." Jungkook softly tells his mate.
When the royal entourage rides through the gates of the castle and turns towards Thalassia, Taehyung takes a deep breath and looks towards his birthplace.
"Are you nervous, My Queen?" Jungkook asks when he feels his mate's nerves spike over their link.
"I am." Taehyung quietly answers and looks at his mate.
"Everything will work out for the better. Do not fear." Jungkook softly smiles.
"You are right." Taehyung smiles and takes a deep breath.
As they ride over the mountain, Taehyung remembers how treacherous the mountain was when Jungkook brought him to Voreion. Now as they ride through the mountain pass, several little squirrels and chipmunks scurry around to find food as late spring melts the snow away leaving a small layer of snow on the ground.
"I did not realize how much time has passed since I went with you to Voreion." Taehyung smiles and looks at his husband.
"Spring is coming to an end, and summer is heating the earth." Jungkook hums in response.
The ride through the mountain pass is calm and peaceful as Taehyung continues to look around and admire the beauty of the various flowers that are blossoming and the small animals that are scurrying away from them.
When Thalassia comes into view at sunset, Taehyung smiles and watches as the sunset casts beautiful pastel reds, pinks, and yellows over the seaside kingdom. As they ride down the mountain, the people of Thalassia rush out of their homes to greet Taehyung.
Tears well up in Taehyung's eyes as he looks at his people who are gathering at the base of the mountain to welcome his return. When Jungkook feels his mate's emotions flood their link, he reaches over to his mate and gently holds his hand.
"Thank you, Jungkook." Taehyung tearfully whispers as he looks at his loving mate and husband.
Jungkook smiles and lifts his mate's hand to his lips and lovingly plants a kiss on the back of Taehyung's hand. "I love you."
"Queen Jeon!" The people of Thalassia joyously cry out when Taehyung and Jungkook reach the base of the mountain.
"Welcome to Thalassia, Queen Jeon." Taeyeon's voice brings a large smile to Taehyung's face.
"Thank you." Taehyung smiles as he looks at his beautiful sister.
"Duke Kim and Dutchess Kim, welcome to Thalassia." Taeyeon smiles when she sees the mate mark on Jin's and Namjoon's shoulders.
"Thank you." Namjoon smiles and lovingly holds Jin's hand.
"King Jeon, Thalassia joyously welcomes your return." Taeyeon smiles and bows her head to the alpha who saved Thalassia.
"Thank you." Jungkook smiles and looks around at the very happy people.
"For tonight, we shall not discuss important matters. Rest and enjoy yourselves. You have had a tiring journey." Taeyeon tells them as they ride to the castle.
