"So Jess how long have you known it was Doom?" Hedy asked as they zoomed down the tunnel leaving Toontown.
"Before poor Marlene Acme was killed, she confided in me that Doom wanted to get his hands on Toontown and he wouldn't stop at anything" Jess replied in a frantic tone.
"So she gave you the will for safe keeping?" Hedy said as she tried to fix her hair that was blowing in the wind from the speed that they were traveling .
" That's what she told me, except when I opened the envelope, there was only a blank piece of paper inside"Jess said in an honest tone.
"So, she was a joker til the end I can respect that " Hedy said in an amused tone
"So where to already? My meter's running" Benny asked in a impatient tone
" I have to find my dear father I'm so worried about him" Jess said in a sad tone
"And I have to find my Uncle Eddie" Hedy said in a worried tone
Then all of the sudden Doom spilled a barrel of Dip on the road which caused Benny to scream in pain and crash into a lamp post which sent Hedy and Jess flying onto the road.
"Tsk tsk tsk What an unfortunate accident nothing more treacherous than a slippery road and especially when driving in a maniacal Toon vehicle " Doom said before the weasels car drove out of the tunnel and parked next to Doom.
" Good work, fellas." Smart ass said as he and the Weasels got out of the car
" Don't just stand there help them put them in my car with Mister Valiant I think they'll enjoy attending the ribbon cutting at the Acme factory" Doom said as he got into the car .
"Come on, you mugs" Smart ass said in a harsh tone as he and the other weasels roughly man handled Jess and Hedy into the back of their car.
"Hi Uncle Eddie" Hedy said in a pained tone as she sat in between Her Uncle and Jess .
"So Casanova you don't have anything to do with his predicament that we are in" Eddie asked Jess as Hedy leaned on the latters shoulder .
"No Mister Valiant I don't" Jess replied in a curt tone as he ran his gloved fingers through Hedy's raven hair.
"Than I'm sorry for thinking you did" Eddie said in a genuine tone
"It's fine Mister Valiant" Jess said in slightly sad tone due to the three's uncertain future
Hedy had fell asleep on Jess's shoulder because the adrenaline in her body had finally ran out
"You love her don't you" Eddie asked Jess in a serious tone as he saw the loving look in Jess's eyes when he looked at Hedy.
"Yes it was like a bolt of lighting hit me when I first saw her and I fell in love , I've never felt this way about anyone before " Jess replied replied in a heartfelt tone as he tenderly looked down at Hedy's sleeping form which looked peaceful for once.
The car then stopped abruptly in front of the ACME warehouse which woke up a dazed Hedy
then three of them were quickly ushered inside the factory by the weasels at gunpoint , Once they were in the factory the Weasels started to frisk Eddie and Jess trying to find Marlene Acme's will.
" We searched Valiant and Rabbit , Boss. The will ain't on them" Smartass said
"Then frisk the woman" Doom said in a unhinged tone
"I'll handle this one" Greasy said as he rolled up his sleeve while he walked up to Hedy
He then sticks his hand down Hedy's shirt in between her chest then the loud sound of a trap snapping is heard and Greasy pulls his hand out screaming in pain as he tried to pry off the large cartoon bear trap .
"Nice Booby trap Hedy"Jess said in cheeky tone
"thank you and don't worry Jess there was only one in there" Hedy said also in a cheeky tone with a bright blush on her face .
The weasels started to laugh at Greasy who was still screaming in pain , Doom then hit him with his cane in to boxes which knocked over a box of fake eyes , the Weasels quieted down their laughter.
"Do they have the will or not?" Doom asked in an angry tone
"Nah just some stupid letter of fatherly affection" Smartass said with a shrug
"No matter I doubt if that will is going to show up in the next fifteen minutes anyway" Doom said in a nonchalant tone .
"What happens in the next fifteen minutes"Eddie asks in a curious tone
"Toontown will be legally mine. Lock, stock, and barrel" Doom said in a smug tone
Little did Hedy, Eddie , and Jess know Roger was coming to the rescue
"Duh, Toontown's right on the other side of the wall, Boss." Stupid said as he and Wheezy broke through the wall of ACME factory to bright and sunny Toon Town .
"You see, Mr. Valiant and Miss Valiant ? The successful conclusion of this case draws a curtain for my career as a jurist in Toontown. I'm retiring. To take a new role in the private sector" Doom said in a matter of fact tone .
"That wouldn't be Cloverleaf Industries by any chance, eh?" Eddie asked already knowing the answer .
"You're looking at the sole stockholder." Doom said once again in a smug tone
