Chapter 23: Fights and Beliefs

The next morning, tensions ran high as Andrea and Jay woke up and ate along with with the others. To make things worse, everyone ate in silence at the table as if they were in mourning or having a final meal. After eating, Victoria smiled and said "Look alive! We gots your daughter to save". Carlos and Victoria opened a portal and said "Let's go. and from here on out refer to me as Vic" but Andrea and Jay hesitated a bit. At this moment she wanted to see her daughter more than ever but she was also afraid of what she was going to find...it was scary knowing that one battle would decide the fate of her family's life". Jay grabbed her hand, smiled at her and said, "whatever we find, we'll face it together".

When they emerged on the other side of the portal, they found themselves standing in the empty streets of their hometown. The buildings were crumbled, the sky was blood red and all that could be heard was pure silence, the city looked like an apocalypse took place. Andrea broke the silence and called out for her Victoria whilst, everyone else kept an eye out for her. Several minutes passed before Andrea's calls were interrupted by a laser missing her by a few inches and hitting the wall of the building behind her. 

As they all turned around, they came face to face with Victoria; her eyes red and her skin still black. She grinned at them before sending a shockwave that threw everyone except Andrea and Jay back into a wall. She walked up to her mother, and got nose to nose with her before grabbing her chin lightly and saying "Won't you join me mother and father...we call rule as a family and crush all inferior lifeforms beneath our feet". Andrea sighed and said, "You know I can't do that sweetie".

Victoria laughed evilly before saying "Of course you can't because you're weak...I was hoping you and Dad would join me after all, a child always needs her parent's support". Andrea said, "I will always support you but not when it involves something like this sweetie...It's my job to stop you, even if it means ending you right here and now". She smiled and said," Very well, you've drawn your lines and chosen your sides...since you're my parents I will grant you the honor of a swift and painless death". Andrea sighed and said, "Same to you sweetie...if you're still in there I want you to know that mommy will always love...I wish things didn't have to be this way".

Victoria laughed evilly before saying "If you survive my attacks, I shall keep you as my pets,I know Victoria still misses you but she's a distant memory...a mere shell of my inferior self and I plan to bury that side forever, starting with you two". Andrea moved in time and dodged Victoria's first attack but she came back around and thus began a hand to hand fist fight between her and her mother". After a few minutes, she said "enough" and grew to the size of a 10-story building and began firing on all of them. Victoria nodded and said "telepathically to everyone "Draw her fire and tire her out and that's exactly what they did".

 Andrea and Jay flew around her, hitting her with bursts of energy while Vic and Carl stayed out of range and channeled large bursts of Harmonic and chaotic infused energy and shot them at her like a cannon. Every once and a while, Andrea or Jay got hit and went flying into something but despite the pain and bruises, they got back up and fly back over her again, determined to tire her out". 

After tiring her out, Carl and Vic channeled the chaotic and harmonic powers and flew with their eyes shut, aiming directly at Victoria's core before "boom" a large shockwave knocked everyone off balance. When the dust settled Victoria laughed weakly and said "Nice try but you'll have to do more than that before swatting them away like flies.

Victoria fell to her knees as Vic flew back over to her and said "Remember this little girl, remember me...I'm the real you, I didn't need big fancy powers or the need to rule a dimension...I was happy with myself how I was". Victoria started shaking her head back and forth "saying no, this is me this is my destiny, I'm strong" before stopping abruptly and saying to Vic with a grin "Psych, this the real me". After saying that, she hit Vic with a supercharged chaotic laser that sent her flying and landing hard into the pavement and she didn't get up. Victoria laughed and said, "You really thought I'd just magically snap out of it if you reminded me enough...no this is the new me, that Victoria and all remnants of ever are non-existent".

Andrea looked at her daughter with a stern face before saying to herself, I hate to do this my daughter, but so be it... it's time to put you down sweetie". Andrea looked at Jay with tears in her eyes before he pulled her into a kiss and said "Let's do this...but how are you sure it'll end her...Vic and Carlos tried and failed" and Andrea said, "They weren't trying to kill her...when we fly over there, you focus everything on her core and I'll focus everything on her heart...by hitting those points at the same time with everything we have focused, she will most certainly die or at the least be disabled or Vaporized". 

Andrea smiled and said you ready?" and he nodded and said "Ready as ever" as the couple closed their eyes and channeled their energy before charging at their daughter, intending to end her life and her reign over the universe.
