Girl of my dreams (Camren)

Chapter 1

It was 9 am when Lauren awoke from yet another dream about the brown haired girl that she'd never seen before outside of her dreams. Lauren had been dreaming about this girl every time she closed her eyes. It didn't matter if it was a quick 20 minute nap the girl with the long dark brown hair was there.

Lauren thought it was a little strange that she kept dreaming about this girl. It wasn't only that she was dreaming about the girl it was the fact that everything about the dreams seemed so real. It was as if she could actually feel her touch and smell her hair as it blew past her face.

As always Lauren would wake up trying to figure out who the girl was but she could never recall seeing the girl anywhere. She didn't have any classes with the girl, she didn't work with the girl, and she never saw the girl passing by on the street.

Taking as it was a Saturday and Lauren had to go into work at 11 she got out of bed grabbed her work clothes and walked to the bathroom. She put the clothes down on the counter and got a towel out of the cabinet. She stripped her body of her clothing and jumped in the shower. All she could think about was the brown haired girl and how badly she wanted to actually know her and meet her.

Lauren stepped out of the shower and wrapped the towel around her body and began brushing her teeth. After she brushed her teeth she put on her work uniform and applied light makeup. She then checked her phone to look at the time "shit I only have 30 minutes."  She ran downstairs of her house to be met by her younger brother Chris.

"Hey sis looking terrible as usual."  "Fuck off Chris I don't have time for this and you have no room to talk considering there is dried drool on your cheek."  Chris shrugged his shoulders and started to rub his cheek. "Not in a good mood this morning are we."  Lauren scoffed as she walked past him shoving his shoulder in the process.

She quickly grabbed a banana off of the kitchen counter and then stepped out the front door of the house. It was mid fall in Miami so it was a little cold out and Lauren regretted not grabbing a sweater as she walked down the driveway to her car. She unlocked her car and got in. She turned on the car and started driving to the little coffee shop that she worked at. They never got much business because it was right down the street from a Starbucks but it still managed to stay open and had very few returning costumers.

She pulled into the parking lot and pulled her keys out of the ignition. She walked into the shop and saw her friend Normani behind the register doing nothing as usual. They thought it would be a fun place to work temporarily before they moved after high school and went on to college.

"Hey" Normani said when she looked up from her phone and saw Lauren walk in. "You know you aren't supposed to be texting while we're at work right" Lauren said while walking behind the counter. "Yeah yeah there's no one in here anyways so therefore I can't get caught" Normani said smiling brightly at Lauren. "True very true it's like putting a cactus shop in the middle of the desert and expecting people to come in here." "At least someone feels my pain" Normani laughed giving Lauren a quick side hug.

At that moment the bell above the door jingled notifying that someone had come inside. Lauren looked away from Normani and towards the door to see the girl she's been having dreams about for months.
