The next morning, Esmie groggily walked to the bathroom. She walked past the mirror to the toilet and handled her business, washing her hands afterward.
Her eyes finally looked up towards the mirror, and her hand flew over her mouth from shock.
She lightly touched the crevice of her neck, hissing when she felt a shock. On her neck was a mark in the shape of a chrysanthemum, but she didn't remember getting marked. Her fingers ran down her stomach and stopped right below her belly button.
Under her button sat a shattered heart. She ran her finger over the heart and her knees bucked as she throbbed.
Esmie was attempting to remember when it happened. "I remember Jun bathing because I didn't want clothes on," she mumbled.
"It's too early for this. Stop rubbing the marks, cub," Sila said from behind her, ripping a scream from her. "When did you get there?"
"Stop rubbing then," Sila ignored Esmie and pulled her hands away from the mark.
She held Esmie's hands behind her back and admired her through the mirror. "Beautiful." She then ran her from Jun's mark, down her breast, and past her button, stopping at her mark.
Esmie stood silently with anticipation, waiting on whatever the woman was about to do.
She let her go, much to the girl's dismay.
"Come downstairs after you've brushed your teeth. Breakfast is ready," Sila said and left. Esmie went to the closet and grabbed a random shirt, putting it on.
She went back into the bathroom to brush her teeth. She sat on her phone for fifteen minutes before she went downstairs.
Freshly brushed teeth and food or flavored beverages don't sit right with her.
"Good morning," she greeted.
Phara threw her hand up and dropped it on the table beside her head.
"Where's Jun and Sila," Esmie asked. "Gym," Phara answered. They have a gym? She sat beside Phara and poked her head.
"Tired?"
"Mhm."
"Wanna watch some TV?"
"No, I wanna go out," Phara jolted up. She bounced when the thought came to her head.
"Go where?"
Jun walked down the stairs in all her naked glory. Just kidding, she had on a sports bra and training pants. Her hair was in a high ponytail, and she had a towel wrapped around her neck.
"I don't know," Phara shrugged. She didn't know where she wanted to go, but she did know that she was tired of being inside.
"How about we go to the amusement park on the beach?" Sila walked down the stairs fully dressed in a collar sweatshirt, leather pants, and black stilettos. Her hair sat up in a messy ponytail.
"I hope not in those heels," Jun grumbled. "I can always change shoes. Plus, it's on a boardwalk," Sila sassed. "Would you like to go to the amusement park," she asked, turning her attention to Phara as Jun mumbled under her breath.
"We can do that tomorrow, but today, can we just see a movie and go to the mall," Phara looked up with innocent eyes. Esmie knew with that look Jun and Sila were instantaneously hooked. "If that's what you want," Sila shrugged. Her heels clacked with each step she took downstairs until she stopped beside Jun.
"No need to change my heels."
Jun glared at her and went upstairs to shower and get dressed. "You two might want to go upstairs and get dressed, as well," Sila said, sipping from the steel cup she held. "'Kay," Phara replied and bounced up the stairs.
