Luz had dragged Yn, in his teen form as now when he's in the Owl House he doesn't wear his illusion much to Eda's joy and also the scar he got from Lily also hidden with his true self, to Gus' house. She knocks on the door waiting for Gus to answer. "Why are we here, Luz?" Yn asks, shoving his hands into his pockets. Luz looks up at him, "He's pretty bummed out because of what happened in school yesterday with Willow and the pixies." Yn nods looking at the brown door as Gus opens the door. "Gustopher! Gusteban. Augustabeth!" Luz points finger guns at the young witch, who's wearing his casual clothes of black trousers, a blue shirt and a white long-sleeve shirt under his blue shirt. "Any of those working for you?" She leans onto Yn, smiling softly at the witch. "You need my library card to visit Amity, don't you?" He blankly says. Luz laughs awkwardly.

"I haven't been doing a good job of hiding that, huh?" She asks. Gus and Yn shake their heads.

Luz pushes herself off Yn, putting a hand on her hip and leans forwards a bit. "Well, I was also hoping to do a little bit of... research." She pulls Gus close to her face, before dragging him off via his shirt. "Come on." Yn closes the door and follows them.

"So, Eda's mom told me I'm not the first human to have lived in Bonesborough." They were walking through the village. Gus just looks upset, still upset about yesterday, Yn puts his arm over his shoulder pulling him into a side hug, making him smile slightly, as they listen to Luz. "If that's true, there might be some info on how they got here in the library."

"Yeah, okay." Gus' normal energetic voice is low and holding all the sadness in his teenage heart. He pulls away from Yn looking at the floor. "Looking through old newspapers is about all I'm good for anyway."

"Spill it, Gustonimo. Are you okay?" Yn points at him standing in front of him stopping both of the teens from walking farther. "I-I've just been thinking." He leans on the bridge they were on, Yn and Luz do the same looking at him. What if it's time for me to explore different kinds of magic?" Yn titles his head to the side.

"I'm all for trying new things, but what's wrong with illusions?" Yn asks, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Illusions are just so... you know–" He waves his hand in the air but is cut off by a loud growl. They all look over the edge, seeing Slitherbeast. It had broken out of its ropes and was charging at a small child. But two kids jumped in front of them. One was a dark-skinned kid with bright purple eyes and dark hair in the abomination track going by his purple and brown uniform. The other one was an orange cat with blue eyes and blond hair covering his left eye, it seemed that the cat was in the plant track.

The boy summons some goo making the Slitherbeast slide and turns back to front. This allows the cat to draw a large circle letting two roots come up from the ground and making a net. Once the creature hits the net it is launched across the alleyway. Another kid jumps over the downed creature. She was a pale girl with dark purple hair almost black with amber eyes and was in the construction. She does a superhero landing and a chunk of earth shoots up trapping the Slitherbeast in it. She gets up and gives a thumbs up to her group "Good work guys." The other two cheered, also going thumbs up, the cat was on one knee as the child hugs them. Everyone was cheering.

Gus' eyes widen as he gasps, his eyes holding some sparkles. Gus gets off the bridge walking to the group of teens. "Wow! Just wow! Plants. Abomination. Construction." He points to each one naming their tracks. "You guys took down that Slitherbeast like it was nothing." Gus was very happy talking to them. "Nah, it wasn't that easy." The girl rubs the back of her head. 

"Yeah, looked like you had a real hard time out there." The boy puts a hand on her shoulder, shaking her slightly. "You're Glandus students, right? I go to Hexside. Name's Gus." The girl smiles, putting her hands on her hips as she introduces Gus to her crew. "Nice to meet ya. This is Angmar." The cat waves at the young witch. "Gavin." The tall boy does finger guns. "And I'm–" She's cut off by someone shouting her name. "Bria!" A boy stops running next to Gus leading on his knees panting for air. It was Mattholomule, in normal clothes, he put a hand on his chest looking up at Bria, some sweat coming down his face. "I would've helped, but, like, there was this other baby in danger." He straightens up wiping sweat from his forehead and he points behind him and chuckles "You probably couldn't see." He crosses his arms.
