Equin rolled her eyes at what she heard Connor say. She honestly should have known better. Connor was an alpha, and he would always take control of everything if it meant that pure wolves didn't die out. "You're basically going to force our kids to love someone they don't? I should have known that the great Connor Slaughter would never allow anything to happen that would go against his own personal plan. Let me ask you this; do you enjoy having everyone hate you? Seriously, do you enjoy being the most hated man around, because it gives you an excuse to go and be a royal dick to those around you?"
Connor growled before jumping on top of the young woman who was already bound to his bed. "I allow many things to slide. But one of the things that I refuse to let slide is the woman who I will be mating with to talk to me in the very manner that you have done. I only want for you to learn to love me; as well as to accept me as your alpha male."
"Oh Connor, you already are my alpha male. You're the alpha male of all of Pine Ridge. Are you not the one of the many who belong to the original bloodline who created a safe haven for wolves to live in peace? Granted it's not exactly how you want it now. But we all have come a long way if we can find humans who accept that we are wolves and are willing to live alongside us. Isn't it an accomplishment that those humans don't fear us," Equin asked.
"Yeah, and then you those who weak minded and end up mating with a human. We shouldn't have to stoop so damn low to settle for a damn human as our mate. We should be mating with our own kind. Us wolves should find someone special and shower them with affection, just like our mate would do for us," Connor said while placing a hand on Equin's cheek. "I want for you to show me the affection that I show you."
"Connor, keeping me tied to a bed like a hostage is no way to earn any affection from me. You want to earn my affection, then you could start by untying me and showing me a little trust. By keeping tied your bed like this, you are showing me that you have no trust in me at all," Equin said while forming a little plan that would help her escape from Connor's camp. If I can manage to get away from Connor, I can make my way back to town and warn John, Clara, Gail, Angelina and Cayden to get the hell out of town before his way down look for me. I know for a fact that when I go through with my little escape plan, he will be beyond furious and move up the mating ceremony up, that way I have no choice but to remain by his side and give him the family that he truly wants, Equin thought to herself.
Connor thought about what Equin had told him as he backed off of her a bit. "You're saying that if I untie you, and allow you to go free; that you will show me the affection that I crave from you? What do you get out of this?"
"I get released from the bed so that way I can run my hands up and down your strong chest, getting a feel for what my mate is like. Just a little something to hold me over until the ceremony. That and I want to be able to kiss you and not feel like a prisoner who is being held against her will. Don't get me wrong, if you're into the whole tying your lover to a bedpost thing during sex, cool, but I'm simply not the kind of girl that is into all of that," Equin said.
Connor rolled his eyes as he started untying Equin from the bed. Equin sat up getting close to Connor, causing his heart to skip a beat with the beautiful young woman sitting in front of him. "I didn't say that you were the kind of girl who was into being tied to a bed while I ravage your body."
"I like the idea of you ravaging my body. But we have to wait for the day that we have the ceremony. For now, we have to settle for kisses and little touches here and there. Are you alright with that?"
"I'm fine with it. I want to respect all that you want. I want to show you that I'm not a monster like others make me out to be," Connor said.
"Why only prove that to me? Why not prove it to the rest of Pine Ridge? Why not show them all that you, Connor Slaughter are a gentleman who is more than willing to extend a helping hand," Equin suggested.
