A King and A Queen

***Please note due to ADHD brain I did not add all the characters.***

Many years ago there was once a man, who was known as a great and powerful ruler of the Guvaria Dynasty a far-off land, he was feared in many countries. One day while visiting an old friend the man came across 4 children, 2 older boys and 2 little ones. He tried to pick up the two smaller ones only to get glared at by the eldest.

"I won't hurt them." The king said the eldest looked about 13 and the other about 6 they were malnourished and filthy. The eldest looked at the two smaller ones, he brushed the hair out of the girl's face before letting the king pick them up.

The king didn't know what to do with the 4 children but he knew that they couldn't stay there, so back on his previous quest he went to see his old friend Queen Juliana. "Come on I'll take you somewhere safe," he said beginning to walk.

Upon arrival he was greeted by the many servants of her highness, he lead the 2 older kids with one hand as he held the two smaller ones with the other. The Queen saw the 4 children and was confused, she knew her old friend had no wife or kids.

"Lord Dark may I ask, where did you find these children?" She asked "I found them" and King Dark explained how he found them, the Queen's face turned sour "To think someone would abandon them. Lord Dark do they have names?" She asked and he shrugged before looking to the 2 eldest.

"I'm Tavis, my brother is Shoval..." The eldest said quietly the queen bent down and reached to brush hair out of Shoval's face but he flinched back. Just as King Dark was about to speak the baby boy started to cry, and the Queen was quick to pick him up and start to soothe him.

King Dark thought for a moment, he didn't know what to do with kids how the hell was he supposed to raise these 4? "What about the other two?" The Queen asked as Shoval looked at Tavis who nodded.

"T-they don't have names." He said as King Dark looked at the two, the little boy was rather small for his age he had dark brown hair and gray-black eyes, and the girl had long brown hair and green eyes it was obvious they were related.

"what do we name these two?" Queen Juliana asked as King Dark looked at the boy, he was a spitting image of their fallen friend "Thire." he said and the Queen looked at him surprised, she hadn't heard that name since his death.

Queen Juliana smiled, she thought it was perfect "It's perfect, His name is Thire." She said softly as she set him down in a small crib from her child, who had already grown up and lived her life. She looked to the other one, who was in King Dark's arms, she tried to think of a name for the baby fairy in his arms.

"what about Rayen?" King Dark suggested Tavis shook his head, even he didn't like the sound of that one. They went through many other names like Jasmine, Mary, Bridget, Rose, Lily, and Anya until Juliana suggested, "Dawn I feel that would suit a beautiful hearted girl like her." Queen Juliana said, Dark then got an idea "What about Belleivora?" He said and Juliana smiled "Perfect... now we have Shoval, Tavis, Thire, and Belleivora." She said softly.

While Queen Juliana was smothering the children King Dark was staring out the window, he was thinking about the potential dangers these kids were now going to face. After all, he had many enemies.

He thought a moment, and as he looked at the 2 eldest children he came up with an idea "Queen Juliana, would you mind if I ask a favor of you?" He said as she turned around and looked at him "Of course Lord Dark." She said he didn't ask her for favors often so she was concerned.

"would you mind if you became these fours Godmother?" He asked his gaze never leaving the children, he didn't want to save them only for them to get hurt. "Of course, I would love to!" Queen Juliana said with a grin, she loved taking care of kids.

"what do think would happen to you?" Queen Juliana asked, King Darks mouth became thin, should he explain to her about the war? Everything he's been fighting for? the struggles he's through aren't for the faint of heart after all... but she's a fellow ruler, she deserves to know what may also threaten her people.

"I've been a recent target of some evil being, he plans to use my kingdoms core to power some device, but the only ones who can access kingdom vaults are the ones who wear the crowns. but I fear if it is as dire as I am believing it is... I may not make it out of this war. So, if anything happens to me, protect these children." Dark said for the first time in a while he found a reason to stay alive.

Queen Juliana was speechless but nodded, she understood his newfound resolve after all she had a kid of her own. Although she looked down at Baby Belleivora who was being held by Tavis, Queen Juliana was sure they were the key to the world's peace she knew youth could be a useful superpower.

Shoval was playing with baby Thire who was on the floor, poking at Shoval's shirt. Tavis was calming a crying Belleivora, who like the rest of the 4 was probably hungry. "Let's get you four fed." King Dark said picking up Belleivora from Tavis.

Leading the children down the hall and to the dining room was surprisingly quite the challenge, Shoval kept getting left behind because he stopped walking, and Tavis was too suspicious of the two royals to follow at first. Queen Juliana hoped he'd warm up to them soon.

as the sun set, the now family settled in for bed curious of the new adventure they would now embark on...

"I will protect you... I swear it."
