"Informing earlier is better than letting that person discover everything, when it is already done. It makes them feel like they cannot be trusted."

Jasmine's Pov

"Jasmine hija!" Dad called me from the sala.

"Yes dad?" I responded from the kitchen. I walk towards our sala and naabutan ko si dad na tinatanggal ang suit niya. Napatingin siya sa akin after he loosen his necktie.

"Looks like you're busy cooking?" Dad asked and smile.

"Stating the obvious." Sagot ko naman rito saka tumawa ng marahan. "Nagpapatulong lang ako kay manang para sa dinner natin."

"That's my little girl." Sabi ni dad at ngumiti.

"I am not a little girl anymore as you can see?" Sabi ko naman. " What's with the smile? Last week ko pa napapansin ah. Any exciting happenings to you dad?"

"Yeah sure." he responded. "Exciting it is."

"Are you free this weekends hija?" tanong niya sa akin.

"Day or Night? You know naman dad I am working habang bakasyon pa so I can earn." sagot ko sa kaniya.

"I already told you not to overwork yourself so much. I can provide for your needs hija.Let's have dinner this Saturday." mahabang sabi niya sa akin.

"Dad this is what makes me happy so just let me be and sure we can have dinner. It's been years since hindi na tayo nag-dinner sa labas. Simula nong mawala si mom." sabi ko na may lungkot sa boses. I lost my mom 2 years ago and dad became a mess but looking at him now, I am so thankful. "But I know that she is happy kung saan man siya ngayon and I am still here same with you dad, we still have each other." sabi ko kay dad to cheer things up. He smiled to me.

"Balik na ako sa kusina dad I'm gonna prepare for our dinner." sabi ko at tumango naman siya. "Prepare yourself dad so we can all have our dinner."

"Yes hija." sabi ni dad bago ako bumalik sa kusina.

"Let's prepare na manang." sabi ko at tinuloy ang pagluluto.

The weekdays pass by like a normal day for me.

"Hey I need to go already." paalam ko sa mga kasama ko. Nandito kasi ako sa headquarter namin, just chilling for a while.

"So early Jasmine. We are not yet done solving this problem." sabi ni Shea at napakamot sa ulo.

"I have a dinner with dad tonight and I know that you can do that." sagot ko naman.

"Ang sweet naman niyan." sabi ni Lorraine.

"I need to go girls bye." sabi ko at akmang lalabas ng may naunang buksan ang pintuan.

"Where are you going?" tanong sa akin ni Adrian.

"I have a dinner with dad." sagot ko sa kaniya.

"That's good to know . Be careful on your way." he said and tap my head.

"Yes captain." sagot ko at umalis na. I went straight to our house and prepare myself. I wear a long sleeve color black dress that leveled my knee paired with a red heels. Hindi ko na tinali ang buhok ko at hinayaan itong nakalugay. I put some light make up so I won't look pale.

*Dad calling

"Hey dad!" I greeted him.

"Where are you?" he ask with excitement.
