Anjali Sharma and Rahul Khanna are enemies. At least, Anjali considers him her enemy. She doesn't know if he thinks the same way, but that doesn't change the fact that she dislikes him.
"What's wrong?" Tina asks, startling her out of her thoughts. She sits down on the empty seat next to her, pulling out her handheld mirror as she fixes the minor imperfections in her makeup. "Thinking about Rahul again?"
"No," Anjali says quickly, making Tina raise an eyebrow. "I wasn't thinking about anything!"
"You have to let go of this rivalry thing," Tina states, brushing the strand of hair in front of her face away. "He's really sweet once you get to know him. You know he volunteers at the animal shelter?"
Anjali groans, disappointment coating her tone as she tries to explain. "You don't understand. He's got you all wrapped around his finger with this good boy act, but I know the truth! Rahul Khanna is the biggest snob I've ever seen. He literally walks around like he owns this place."
"Maybe," Tina says teasingly, snapping her mirror shut once she's satisfied with her looks. "It's because of how much money his dad's donated to this college. I think the school would be willing to host events for him. Heck, they might even change the name to Rahul Khanna College if he asked."
Anjali shivers, staring in horror at her friend. "Can you imagine that?" She snorts, unable to control her laughter once the mental image forms. "I didn't know you cracked jokes. Renaming the college after him? That'd just make his ego shoot through the sky!"
Tina gasps, covering her mouth. "Wait," She whispers, eyes going wide as she motions for her friend to be quiet. "Anjali," She stresses, shaking her head. "Stop-"
"I think I'd drop out of embarrassment if that ever happened," she interrupts, giggling as she mimics Rahul. "Oh I'm Rahul Khanna and my dad is a bajillionaire and I love women. You should all be honored that I'm naming this college after myself."
"Oh?" A deep voice says from behind her and Tina groans, facepalming. "I don't think I sound like that at all though."
"Really?" She turns to look at the person who just spoke, mouth dropping open as she realizes who it is.
Rahul Khanna smirks, amusement dancing in his brown eyes as she looks at him. "Kya hua? You were speaking just fine seconds ago."
Anjali feels the blood rush up to her face as she shares a horrified look with Tina. "Uh, you see," She stutters, trying to think of an excuse. "Um..."
Rahul lets out a laugh, breaking the tense atmosphere. "Your impression needs a little more work, Sharma," He states, an evil smile playing on his face as he steps closer to her. "I can teach you if you're that desperate."
"Nahi!" Anjali shrieks, face bright red as she leans back in her seat. "You don't need to do that!"
"Don't be shy Sharma," He teases, dimples becoming more pronounced. "You know I wouldn't mind spending some time with a fan."
"Fan?!" Anjali frowns, eyebrows pulling together to glare at him. "The only fan I am is of my fist to your fac-"
"Aren't you busy Rahul?" Tina interrupts loudly, covering Anjali's mouth. "I think I heard someone call your name over there."
"As if I'd believe such an obvious lie," he says exasperated, shaking his head. "Sharma what were you sayin-"
"Mr. Khanna!" A voice interrupts and he pauses, staring incredulously. "Mr. Rahul Khanna?"
"I told you I heard someone call your name," Tina says triumphantly from behind Anjali.
Rahul sighs, looking disappointed. "It's hard being so popular I guess," he pauses, winking at Tina. "I'll see you again. Especially you Sharma."
"Hopefully you don't," Anjali whispers, glaring at his retreating back.
"Stop it," Tina says, giggling as she nudges her friend's shoulder. "Don't you think he's so dreamy with those dimples?"
"Tina!"
