Two Meetings At Midnight.

Thanjai - palace,

Urvashi was shocked hearing after hearing his reply, many thoughts ran in her head. She was confused on why he would help the Pandiyas.

" For whom are you doing these?" asked Urvashi hiding her shock." We don't have to get too personal, do we? Please give your message to me , I shall deliver it to whomever it is for in Pandiya Nadu. " Replied the Senadhipathi.

Urvashi nodded and left from there. 'This girl seems suspicious, did I leak out much ? Anyways I will convey it to Arase, he will take care of her"thought Kalanthakan.

Urvashi met the maid who took her to the senadhipathi and asked" Are you from Pandiya Nadu?" . The woman nodded,Urvashi looked at her and dismissed her.

By that time Urvashi collected the Information, Nandhini reached the palace. Nandhini didn't wait for Karikalan to help her out of the palanquin, she immediately came out.

" What is the hurry ? Slow down Nandhini" told karikalan,Nandini ignored his words and started walking fast towards Urvashi's room. Karikalan shrugged and helped Sembian madevi.

" Urvashi, Urvashi!", Nandhini entered the room calling her name. When she entered she saw Urvashi sitting like a statue on her bed.

Nandini went to Urvashi and shook her . Urvashi came to her trance and mumbled "Akka". "Yes Urvashi, I am here." Told Nandhini

Urvashi got up from the bed, hurried to lock the door. " What happen Urvashi? Did you get the list?" Enquired Nandini. Urvashi shook her head .

" Then what did you get " asked Nandhini slowly getting angry. " I didn't get their names, I found the person who we are searching for, akka " replied Urvashi.

" What are you saying Urvashi? " Asked Nandhini in confusion. " Yes akka I am telling the truth." Replied Urvashi.
" Who" asked Nandhini.
" Senadhipathi, Kalanthakan." Told Urvashi.

" But why?" Asked Nandhini in shock.
" He told that he was not satisfied with, the ruler so he sent a letter to the crown prince knowing his secret." Answered Urvashi.

" What Secret?" Asked Nandhini. " The person who killed his mother" told Urvashi. Nandhini's eyes widened in shock. " What no , father has never harmed a woman." Protested Nandhini in shock.

" Yes even I know that, but - " Urvashi was cut off by Nandhini. " But what, why did he do it? , who is behind this?" Nandhini continued asking the questions.

Finally Nandhini calmed down and sat down on the bed, holding her head. Urvashi sat near her and told, " akka don't worry, we will find who ever is behind this soon."

Nandhini shook her head and told " We would need some help from Madurai to kill all those are behind this, we will have a meeting at midnight today. "

"Ok akka I will call some people from Madurai " suggested Urvashi as she started writing the letter. " Wait Urvashi, not some people call only the ones who I tell" told Nandhini as she stopped Urvashi from writing. " As you wish akka " replied Urvashi.

Nandhini told nearly twenty names which included Amarabhiujhangan's. Urvashi was happy that she was going to meet Amarabhiujhangan. Urvashi wrote a script and gave it to the maid. She bowed and got the script.

Urvashi gave the thousand gold coins which the maid asked for.

On the other side in Nandhini's room, she was preparing a plan to leave at midnight ,to see them. Right at that time, Karikalan entered the room it was still noon. " Nandhini, did you have your lunch?" Asked Karikalan.

Nandhini nodded her head in reply, " karikalare can I ask you something? " Asked Nandhini as she sat on the bed facing karikalan. Hearing this he came and sat beside her, " Sure Nandhini."told karikalan.

Nandhini hesitated at first but decided to ask the question, " Karikalare, where is your mother?" . Karikalan froze on hearing this. " May I know why you are asking?" Asked Karikalan with a frown.

" Oh , I was just curious to know, I haven't seen your mother since you came here" told Nandhini.
Karikalan nodded, he closed his eyes and sighed" My mother is dead " told karikalan.

"How ? " Asked Nandhini. Karikalan got up from the bed and told" someone ". Nandhini understood that he is not going to tell her the full truth, so she didn't force him.

" Ok karikalare, you can tell me when ever you wish too, i will always be here by your side." Told Nandhini as she walked to karikalan's side and kept a hand on his shoulder. " Everything will be ok consoled Nandhini. Karikalan have her a smile.

The time passed, it was nearly midnight now, Urvashi had informed that they have gathered in the temple which she went in the morning, Nandhini asked Urvashi to tell them to wait till midnight.

Nandhini was removing her jwellers, karikalan entered the chamber, the maid stood beside Nandhini as she removed her jwellery , karikalan dismissed her.

She bowed to him and left the room. Nandhini who was sitting in front of the mirror noticed karikalan behind her ," Had your dinner?" Asked Nandhini, as she started to remove her bangles.

Karikalan nodded, knowing that Nandhini can see him, " ok so, good night Karikalare " told Nandhini.

Karikalan didn't go the the bed , instead he went towards a table and took the sword kept on it. " Going somewhere?" Asked Nandhini.

"Oh , that's nothing, I am having a meeting at midnight, with the Velaikaran soldiers. " Told karikalan.

Nandhini froze, " why at midnight, you can have your meeting now?" Asked Nandhini in a dark voice, " I wish but , I have got a news that some pandiyan spies have entered into the city " replied karikalan.

Nandhini didn't know what to do , she has ordered them to wait for her till midnight, she can't tell them to go back too.

" Please try something karikalare, I want to be with you" told Nandhini faking sadness. Karikalan walked towards Nandhini and held her hands, " Even I wish to , but I can't stay here , Araser's life could be in danger. " Told karikalan.

" Am I not important to you, karikalare?" asked Nandhini with pleading eyes. " You are my everything Nandhini, but it is my duty, I have to fulfill it."told karikalan with his palm on her cheek. Nandhini nodded.

Karikalan asked Nandhini to sleep, Karikalan kissed Nandhini's cheek as he left the chamber.

Nandini sat in front of the mirror she first washed her face and started to think of a plan to go out of the palace to the temple.
