cassandra and rebecca were princesses of a private, beautiful childhood land called rrami.
cassandra ate bricks and popcorn, rebecca ate greek yogurt lollies and vegan salami sticks.
cassandra was a ball of chaos, rebecca was a vain, californian disgrace.
cassandra wore muddy dresses and had grass stained knees. she liked going to waitrose and watching documentaries about henry viii.
rebecca wore silk uncomfortable gowns with petticoats and had bruised knees. she liked putting on perfect performances in the front room and getting married 20 times over.
cassandra had short hair, rebecca had long.
cassandra was short, rebecca was tall.
cassandra was a little boy called joey and rebecca was his older sister, e. they liked playing dress up and escaping to their magical world in the hazy, lazy summer of 2015.
they played endless games in the sundrenched garden of their house, and scurried around their neighborhood in disney dresses and jelly shoes.
i wonder if they are in pain now.
