"You're what now?" asked Mr. Brooks, chairman of the local homeowners association.

"We're taking the building with us." Replied Andre.

"How do you intend to do that?"

"We've hired a building moving company. They have a staff of 20 powerful mages who are very good at levitation magic. I've always been rubbish at it myself, but these men and women are quite good I've been told."

"You can't just take a building!" he said more flustered than anything.

"Actually, we can. After the bad affairs of a couple of years back where a demonic Power attempted to enter this world, it destroyed almost the entire building, except the walls. We rebuilt and paid for the roof, a brand new foundation impregnated with silver and elemental mercury, and personally installed the summoning circles, again at personal expense. We've negotiated with the property company that owns the property that so long as we replace the structure with a like building in a reasonable amount of time, they are fine with it. We bought it, we built it, and we're taking it with us." Andre said with a smile.

"Well, I'm sure it violates the HOA charter somehow!" Brooks said in frustration.

"Oh, it probably does, but you're the one who asked us to leave, if you'll recall, and you're totally justified in doing so, we're a fairly dangerous group with everything that goes on in our lives. But we'll pay the $5000 fine from the HOA manual, which is the maximum penalty you can assign for any given violation. A little high if you ask me but, I'm not the one who wrote it."

"Fine. When can we expect the building movers to be here?"

"Thursday. We'll start at 8 am and be done by 8 pm and have the new building under construction starting Monday and it'll be done by the following Friday. Then we'll be moved out before the 31st and we'll be no more problem to you and your wonderful community. We really have enjoyed living here. You'll receive a great review letter once we leave. Of course, you'll have to replace Caleb as HOA monitor, but I'm sure that's a minor detail."

"Where are you moving to if I can ask?"

"We've bought a plot of land just west of Pinson about 5 miles outside of city limits. We figure given how many problems we've had a private lot would be safest for everyone from here on out."

"That's probably for the best. Well, I wish you and the rest of your family the very best. Have a good day." Said Mr. Brooks as he got into his truck and drove the three-and-a-half blocks back to his home.

Andre sighed heavily, well that was another hurdle out of the way. He walked back into the now mostly empty house. They'd lived there for about 3 and a half years. In that time, they had had multiple shootouts, an attack by a bunch of bikers, a full demonic incursion, and any number of other nasty events. Andre looked back, and even with all the bad, there had been some very good memories as well.

"You ok uncle Andre?" asked the 7-year-old Celeste. The official boss and chief moral officer of the family she was one of the latest additions to the family a mere 7 months ago during the height of the troubles with Ms. Fontaine.

"I'm good sweety, you got your room all finished packing?" he asked.

"Yep! Mom and dad moved it all out to the trailer already. We just have pop pop's room, and the kitchen left, mom said.

"Why am I not surprised that pop pop is being slow." He said and they both laughed, "Alright go double-check the other rooms for boxes or anything we might have missed."

"Ok uncle!" and off she trounced.

Andre went to his father's room where Conroy was busy packing up the last of his things into boxes. "How is it you had the least number of things of all of us and yet it's taken you the longest to get everything packed?"
