The fair

It is February 27th 1993, there was a fair that you were wanting to go to lately, down in Medford Texas, you realize that you may be busy that week, and so you looked over at your schedule on your computer, and planned a date, march 13th. The following week you finally went to bed, really excited about tomorro-*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* you wake up and hop out of bed, sitting there for a bit because you had to wake up early and you're really tired, you gain motivation to stand up, and you are usually never productive, but seems how you have adrenaline in you, you instantly change and open up the door to the hallway, as you waddle your way to the kitchen to have breakfast. You go up to the cabinets squatting down and opening them up. "Hmmm,,, what should I get..." as you think, you end up just making bagels with cream cheese. *Munch* *munch* *munch* as you're eating you decide you're just gonna take a shower afterwards. That way you're not getting clean and then getting sweaty within a few hours. Now that you're done eating, you put the dirty dishes in the sink, and then open the door and walk to your car, you get in and prepare yourself for a hour long drive, you pull out of your driveway and start driving. you're kind of excited because there's a really pretty area on the road you're going on. As 30 minutes go by you finally pass it, a big field with flowers, wildlife, and freedom, you gaze at it for a little bit, but then you get your eyes back on the road. A few minutes later, you realize you need to Pull over at a gas station to refill your gas That way you don't shut down in the middle of the road, as your pulling into the gas station and start paying for the gas, zoning out, a cute guy comes up to you and gives you a paper with his name and number, before walking away, not knowing what to do, you don't do anything, you get back in the car and continue your journey, pulling out of the gas station and back on the road "he was handsome, i guess." You thought, looking down reading his name, "kai?" you said thinking that his name was something more like, Jeffrey or Matthew. Not that long after You pull into the parking lot of the fair, getting out of your car and walking to the ticket booth, shortly after a two minute walk, you give your tickets to the ticket booth guy. "There you go!" The worker said, with a really fake smile on his face. But then as you walk up to the gate, you noticed a really cute guy with a mullet in the distance. You noticed him because of how loud and obnoxious he was being, and you kinda wanted to ask him for his number.... But anyway, you look away and walk in and look around. there's so much To do that you don't know what to do! You decide to get a drink first because of how thirsty you are, and you weren't really thinking when you were at the gas station, but anyway you walk up to the stand and hear: "Hello what can I get for you tonight.." in the most monotone voice ever. "Uhhh,,, I'll take a frost Gatorade!" You said, "Kay." the worker said while handing you the drink. "Hmph, I wonder what was up with him?.." you said walking away, drinking your Gatorade. Doing some very important thinking, you decide to go on the Ferris wheel. usually it's a ride for lovers, but tonight, self love was your top priority... (so you said, to make yourself feel better.) you stand in line for at least half an hour, but then as the person in front of you is about to hop on, you hear a playfully shouted "OLIVIA WAIT!!!" as that mullet boy comes running from behind you to the girl in front of you "don't get on without m-" as he stops and looks at you "well hellllo beautiful! Olivia I'll catch up with you later.... So are you riding with anyone?" "No but if you're going to ride with me, we probably should hop on now because we are about to miss our spot." you said as he got in first and you got in second, "sooo what are you doing tonight?" he said. "Slow down you look like a lost puppy reuniting with its owner. Anyways I'm y/n!" You replied. "Ohhhh, well, what are you doing tonight?" He said. "Nothing much?- What's your number? We could stay in touch!" You replied giving him a piece of paper and a pen out of your bag. As he writes down his name and number, and returns the paper to you while you return the paper to your bag, you notice your at the top of the ferris wheel, watching the sunrise. The view is so pretty. It feels like forever up there, mainly because you wanted it to be forever, but a sad 30 minutes later you guys get off the Ferris wheel, an-"EVERYONE THE FAIR WILL BE CLOSING EARLY IN 15 MINUTES! SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCES!" Dang it. You decide to try and win a small prize with your new, friend, Before you go. You went up to one of the games and paid for two, and started throwing spears at cardboard UFOs flying by with a piece of string. "I WON!" Georgie said, in the most Texan boy accent ever, "here you go." he said turning to you, holding his hands out with the plushy, smiling. "WOO, thank you!!" you said, walking away laughing with him to the gate. as you waved bye walking to and then hopping in your car, you remembered that you just got two different numbers in one day. (if you can't tell, you picked Georgie) once you got back home, you dialed the number in your phone. Before taking a shower, and then watching some television.
