Highchool AU
Kai's POV:
It was Saturday. The weekend. Kai and his friends, including Pixal, have all decided to meet for lunch. They were going to meet at a restaurant near their school, then hangout after eating lunch.
Kai and Nya are already late. "Are we good?" Nya asked. Kai nodded in response. "Here, an umbrella," Nya said, handing an umbrella to Kai. "You think it's gonna rain? In this weather?" Kai asked. "That's what the forecast said. Later this afternoon," Nya responded.
"Sis, there's no way it's gonna rain. It's literally sunny outside. Plus the news always lies, so it's fine," Kai chuckled. Nya rolled her eyes at him. "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you," Nya sneered.
Then they set off. "I can't wait to see Cole!" Kai thought happily. Ok, Kai does admit he's been crushing on Cole for a few months. Every time they're near each other, Kai can feel his heart beating faster and louder. Cole is so kind, handsome, sweet; what isn't there to love?
The restaurant wasn't far from their house, so they decided to walk. After about five minutes, the Smith siblings arrived. They greeted their friends, and Nya went to kiss Jay. Kai rolled his eyes. At first he didn't really like the sound of Nya dating, but she is an independent girl now.
"Hi Kai!" Kai turned around to greet the voice. It was Cole! Kai beamed happily at him. "Hello to you too, Boulder Brain!" Kai chuckled. "Oh shut up, Hair Gel," Cole laughed. "K, can we go now?" Jay asked.
After eating, they all decided to go to the park. They rode in Zane's car, since he brought it. They arrived at the park. They walked, talked, did all sorts of things, until they saw ice cream.
"Is that the Lovers' Ice Cream truck?" Nya asked. "What's that?" Lloyd asked. "Well, it's basically ice cream, but based on your lover," Kai explained. "We should go, even if you don't have a lover," Zane smiled. The others agreed.
First Nya and Jay went. They got a blueberry ice cream, topped with vanilla. Zane and Pixal got strawberry and chocolate, then Lloyd got mint chip and kiwi. Then it was Kai and Cole's turn.
"Ah, another couple I see?" The ice cream man said. Kai blushed and hid his face by using his hoodie. "No, we just decided to go together," Cole smiled. Kai sighed of relief. "Anyways, I have the perfect ice cream for you guys!" The ice cream man beamed.
"You! The one in red! I can see it all over your face! Chocolate for the eyes, and strawberry for their personality!" The ice cream man smiled, handing the ice cream down to Kai. Everything he said about Cole was true.
       "And you! The black haired boy! Bananakhan for their eyes, and mint chip for their personality!" The ice cream man said. Cole took the ice cream. "Whoever has that personality is bold; mint chip is disgusting," Kai gagged. "I heard that!" Exclaimed Lloyd.
       After finishing their ice cream, Cole went to the bathroom. Kai waited for him. Then he felt a drop of water land on him. It started raining. Nya, Zane, and Lloyd took out their umbrellas. Nya shared with Jay, Zane shared with Pixal, and Lloyd just had it for himself. Kai tried convincing Lloyd to share, but Lloyd wasn't convinced.
       Sighing, Kai used his hoodie to cover him. Nya gave him a, 'I told you so,' look. Kai's phobia of water is also not helping right now.
That is, until he realized it wasn't raining above him. He turned around to see Cole holding an um tells above them.
       "Wow, you're so stupid that you didn't even take an umbrella," Cole chuckled. Kai hmphed. "Here, take this; you'll catch a cold with your wet hoodie," Cole said, handing Kai his hoodie. "But this is yours?" Kai muttered. "It's ok, I have thousands of more hoodies," Cole smiled.
       Kai felt his cheeks warm up. "I uhh, th-thank you...," Kai murmured. "Cmon, let's go to Zane's car," Cole said. "Y-yea," Kai stuttered.
