first real love

new friend?

I just finished my first week of school, and I am completely exhausted. Waking up early and sitting through long lessons , but I got some good news - that boy named Chris asked for my phone number.

Now that the weekend is here, I just want to relax. As soon as I get home, I change into comfortable clothes and jump into my bed. I put on the TV and try to unwind.

Suddenly, I hear my phone go off. I grab it and see that Chris has sent me a message.

"Hey Brook. I was thinking maybe we could hang out this weekend. If you want," he wrote.

I laugh and reply, "Sure, when?"

"How about tomorrow at like 3pm?" Chris suggests.

"Okay, see you tomorrow!" I excitedly respond.

"See you tomorrow!" Chris replies.

I am so happy to have made a new friend. My mom will be thrilled that I am not spending the weekend holed up at home. As I drift off to sleep, I reflect on everything that happened during this week of school and look forward to the adventures that lie ahead with Chris.

The next day, I wake up feeling refreshed and excited for my hangout with Chris. I spend the morning getting ready, picking out a cute outfit and doing my hair and makeup. I check my phone and see that Chris has already texted me, asking if I'm still on for our plans.

I reply that I am, and Chris suggests that we meet at a nearby park. I agree.

When I arrive at the park, I see Chris sitting on a bench, looking just as excited as I am. We greet each other with a hug, and I feel like we've been friends for years.

We spend the afternoon walking around the park, talking, and laughing. We even find a spot by the lake and have a picnic. I feel so grateful to have met Chris and to have spent such a wonderful day with him.

As the sun starts to set, we say our goodbyes and promise to hang out again soon. I head home feeling happy and content, already looking forward to our next adventure together.
