Talking about introjects

What not to do

What I'll be writing is something you should not do or say when talking to a introject in a system. unless you have the persons blessing, which I will say if it's ok or not even with the blessing.

1. Source comparison.
Do not compare fictives or factive to the source they are from, the character/human they have formed from may be problematic but they can't control that, nor can they control what their from.
This is not ok to do even if you have a blessing.
Why it's bad: introjects aren't their sources and it can be very troublesome for some to be compared to their source. They are their own human who wants to be treated with respect.

2. Don't bring up upsetting sourcememories
Don't say a introjects upsetting sourcememories, they are upsetting for a reason. Sourcememories can be because of trauma
If the person is not connected to their source or doesn't care then go ahead just don't always bring it up
Why it's bad: introjects get sourcememories which can be connecting to their sources - their sourcememories won't always be whatever happened with their source, it can be actual trauma the body had lived through.

3. No treating factives like your celebrity crush or celebrity or some shit.
Factives are alters off of real people but that doesn't mean they actually are your whatever you call them.
Why it's bad: they are their own person despite being a factive - they should be respected and treated like the rest. And aren't what you want them to be, they aren't your toys or your celebrity.

4. No treating fictives like your comfort character, fictional crush, or some shit like that
Fictives are alters off of fictional characters but that doesn't mean they actually are whatever you call them
Why it's bad: they are their own person despite being a fictive - they should be respected and treated like the rest. And aren't what you live them up to be, they aren't your puppet or your "fictional crush coming to life"
