Red Hole [Short Story]

Chapter 1

"Look Iris, what's that star?" my little brother asked while looking at my telescope.

"Danielle please go back to your room and do your homework. Please don't disturb me." i replied with my face dissapointed.

"I'm just asking"

"Okay..okay...If I answer your question you will leave me alone here okay?"

"Yes"

"That's not a star its venus. The second planet on earth. Its visible in night."

"Ah okay. I will go back now"

"Thank you Danielle. Good Night" i said.

Iris's POV :

I'm Iris Porter. College student and a space enthusiast. My mom and dad always in their work day and night so I am close with my little brother and slight from them. I want to be an astronaut but I'm studying business for now.

My little brother Danielle is a grade 9 high school student. He really likes to tease me and make me angry. But he's a kind boy.

"Hmmmmm....let's see what I'm gonna see tonight." I said to myself.

"Iris, I finished my assignments but I can't sleep." danielle said.

"Mom and Dad?" I asked.

"They're busy. Working in computer" he said with a low voice.

"Okay. You wanna join me stargazing?"

"Ofcourse!" he said excitedly.

I let him look at my telescope and suddenly.

"Iris!!!!!" he yelled like shock.

"What?!" I got shock because of her yell.

"I saw something flying."

"Its an airplane Danielle"

"No. Its not. I know what is an airplane and helicopter but it is different. A UFO."

"Stop talking about that Danielle. I know you're just kidding me." I said but in my mind I really want to believe him.

"I'm not kidding Iris. Its true I really really see it with my own two eyes."

"Okay....okay.... I think you're sleeping and you're dreaming now. Go now to your room and sleep"

"Iris. I'm not lying. Its up to you if you will believe me."

I don't replied to him so he will think that I'm not listening.

He go inside of the house and leave me.

Iris's POV :

I want to believe him because I already saw that before. I just keep it a secret until I prove.
I wish that Danielle will not get serious about what he saw.

"Iris its midnight. Aren't you gonna sleep?" my mother asked while drinking coffee.

"I'm just cleaning my telescope Mom after that I will sleep."

"Okay. Is danielle already asleep?"

"Yes, Mom"

Then mom left and go to their room.

Until I sleep. I can't forget and it really entering in my mind. I'm having dream of it.

*The Next Morning*

"Danielle, wake up its time to eat!" I call him.

"I don't want to go to school."he replied.

"Its not a good reason. Wake up now or I will tickle you"

"........"

I tickle him with my killer tickle in her foot and he wakes up.

"Let's go now. Mom and Dad are there"

I walk downstairs first and he follows.

"Good Morning Dad, Good Morning Mom" he greet and kissed them.

"Iris. The thing I see last night. Is that a UFO?" he asked.

"Nah....its not. Its an airplane Danielle." I replied.

We're the two talking because Dad is busy in his newspaper and Mom is busy in her phone calling someone.

That's our boring life.
