Rengoku Kyojuro x reader  one shot

You sigh, sometimes you think Kyojuro is just too dense to pick up on your flirting, or maybe he just thinks you're being extra nice whatever the case it frustrates you to no end. You see, you have fallen in love with your long time best friend Rengoku Kyojuro. And no matter how thick you lay on your flirting he just doesn't seem to notice or pick up on the ques. Today, seemed no different, you and Kyojuro had a day off today from missions and you had asked him to lunch today, of course he said yes. Who passes up free food.

Small timeskip

You and Kyojuro were walking to whatever town for some delicious street food, and of course you were trying to flirt and win kyojuro’s heart like always

“Kyojuro, has anyone ever told you that you remind them of the sun?” you said

Kyojuro laughs “No they have not, Little Flame” he then smiles at you

You smile back then tell him “Well then I shall be the first, Kyo, you remind me of the sun, you're like a big ball of sunshine, and that's why I love you sm.”

Kyojuro laughs again “Well I thank you for the compliment, little flame, now what food shall we get now that we've reached the village?

You sigh a little before going to look through all the stalls to find what you both want

Time skip after spending the day trying to flirt with Kyojuro and it going over him head

You sigh again “I just don't get it Tengen, I've done everything you said too and he's just not getting it.”

“Well you know you could just tell him how you really feel, it would get your point across, orrrr you can try and do something super flashy like buy him a gift and bringing him food all while confessing your undying love for him.” Tengen said

You looked at him like (0 - 0)

“Listen Tengen as flashy as you want me to do this, i could never be as flashy as you are”         (= - =) you sigh again “Plus im not trying to be like you, i only came to you for guidance because 1 youre Kyojuros best friend and 2 YOU HAVE 3 WIVES”

Tengen laughs “Well thank you, I am the god of flashiness after all. But as for your problem, i'd just tell him how you feel, whether it's flashy or not i'm sure he would return your feelings. “

You gave him a side eyed glare “And you'd know that how, do you know something i don't?”

Tengen gave you a nervous chuckle and then poof he disappeared

Once you noticed he was gone you yelled “GOD DAMN IT TENGEN!!!!”

You huffed and left to go for a walk to think about what you were going to do, were you going to buy a gift, maybe write a letter. “Fuck man, all those sound so lame.”  you mumbled to yourself

“What sounds lame, little flame?” Kyojuros booming voice startled you out of your thoughts.

You looked around and noticed to walked all the way from Tengens home to Kyojuros, you sighed before answering “I'm trying to confess to someone, and i don't know how to do it and its really making me frustrated.” and then you started brainstorming again about how to confess all while not noticing Kyojuro frown, for you see he has had a crush on you for a while now and didn't know how to tell you for it never felt like the right time.
