After a long talk with my new master, Alex Godwith, I went home and celebrated with my family. Sort of. I never expected myself to be a Seeker. I barely understand what they do. There has to be more things to do as a Seeker rather than just sit around all day and discover new things. Literally, that is all they do.

I meet Mr. Godwith in the woods like he told me. The woods is a nightmare. There are tall wobbling trees and dark caves. Dangerous creatures such as Hatch wolves and Morphic bulls. These creatures are horrendous. Hatch wolves are over sized dogs with long hairy black fur and claws as large as bananas. Morphic bulls are small creatures resembling to cat but still has the rage as a regular bull. They have massive horns.

"Hello there young one." Says Mr. Godwith

"Hi" I respond

"I have something do you."

He hands me the most beautiful bow a boy can ask for. The masterpiece is slim and shiny with blue diamonds inscribed inside. Along with it, he gives me sharp red and black arrows. I am amazed. Maybe being a Seeker is not bad after all.

"These are no ordinary arrows, Tripp." He says " They contain red emerald."

I continue to stare at my bow and wander off throughout my head about how I am going to use these. Maybe to hurt Ben. Possibly kill that annoying bird outside my window.

"Alright Tripp, lets teach you to shoot."

"Really? You must be kidding. I have never used a weapon in my life nor killed anything."

"Who said anything about killing things?"

"Are you saying that I won't kill anything? Come on Mr. Godwith."

"First off, you aren't ready for that. Secondly, I hate being called Mr. Godwith. Just call me Alex since I am old enough to be your older brother."

"Fine."

Alex takes out a bow twice a big as mine and pulls out about 12 arrows. His bow is more detailed and colorful than mine. He places an arrow on the bow, pulls back, and lets go. The arrow flows through the air like feather reaches the ground. It flew in a straight line into a hole the size of a quarter.

I stand behind him amazed and shut up. I couldn't believe my eyes. How am I supposed to learn to do this? Gee, I wish I was a Cook. It would be so much easier.

"Being a Seeker is not all killing things, Tripp. Seekers go on journeys and find new things. We tell people about what we found out whether its good or bad."

"What happens to us if we find something bad and it kills us?" I ask

"Listen Tripp. We both are not normal people. "

"Seriously. I know I'm not."

"No. I mean this in a good way. We both are like immortal."

"What?"

"I'm trying to say that we both do not die easily. Do you remember the dragon-like cuff links on your suit? They only light up for the Chosen Ones."

"What?"

*sigh* " In our blood, we have what is called Dragon's Cell. It is extremely rare and only nine people of seven people have it including us. The other seven people who had this are now dead. This cell can allow you to live and respawn about three times. So it is like being immortal. Only when you die three times, you are dead like other humans."

"What?"

"Never mind"

He begins to walk off and I follow. He takes me to what seems to be a Training Camp in the middle of nowhere. It was abandoned and weeds have grown. I take out my arrow and attempt to shoot a squirrel. I miss.

"Aim at that tree over there" Alex tells me.

I shoot at the tree but I miss, as I expect. I shoot about ten more times, but still nothing. Not to mention that I am standing ten meters from the tree. I am embarrassed. Maybe I am not cut out for this.

I shoot for another five minutes and finally I make it. The arrow sits in the trunk of the tree barely holding in. I wish I was better.

I look behind me to see if Alex saw it but he wasn't there. I search for him and find him in a treehouse that can fit no more than two people. He pulls out a bed.

"Welcome home kiddo."

"Am I not going home?"

"Nope."

"Awesome!!!"

I notice how I said awesome without thinking. I worry about Mom and sis. Am I going to see them again? I hope so but for now I am alone. Sort of.

"Don't get to comfortable. Meet you outside in about an hour."

Alright. No rules.
