Sex: FemaleANATOMIC DIAGNOSES
I. Multiple stab and incised wounds of head, neck and lower extremities with five stab wound penetrating left skull into brain.
II. Seven stab wounds at lateral right chest penetrating into right lung; and multiple wounds of upper extremities consistent with defensive injuries.
III. Blunt-force injuries on the head although these may be ragged incised wounds from a dull object. The back of the head has four parallel, diagonal lacerations with visible tissue bridging.EXTERNAL EXAMINATION
Clothing and Valuables: The body was admitted to the morgue dressed and then within a body bag, and with the hands and legs tied.
Clothing is very bloody and has injuries matching those at the lateral chest. In addition, prior to removal of clothing, the body was examined concurrently by me and by the crime scene technician from the Police Department. The clothing consists of a blue long dress, a black belt and a pair of black slides. Valuables on or with the body include $23.08 in cash, a pink pepper spray can and a cigarette lighter.
The valuables are released to the mother of the decedent while the clothing is retained for the law enforcement agency.
SCARS, TATTOOS, NEVI, INCIDENTAL FINDINGS: A short scar is at the back of the forearm 4.03 cm. Old scars are also at the right knee with one being surgical. The back of the right wrist has the word "KINDNESS" carved into the skin. The cuts are deep and they began to form an infection.
OPINION
This 19-year-old female, Samantha Bell, died as a result of a laceration on the chest that penetrated into the right lung. The autopsy revealed that the victim was still being attacked by stab wounds even after her death. With the information it was provided to me at this time, the matter of death of, Samantha Bell, is homicide.
