Chapter 30: Her loving Arms

Meanwhile, in the alternate universe, Victoria and Carlos were sent back and woke up to the sounds of what she thought was a dream. As she opened her eyes, she found herself staring into her mother's eyes and she had a smile on her face. Andrea giggled and said "I missed you sweetie" which caused Victoria to bolt up and pull her into a hug. Victoria sighed and said, "I guess I died but at least I gave those other versions of me a second chance". Andrea laughed and said, "Sweetie, you're alive...the gods from the other universe went back in time and pulled us forward just before the explosion sweetie...it turns out the alternate versions of me and your father were adamant that you needed some more guidance".

Victoria teared up and said, "I'm glad you guys are here...but Auntie is gonna freak out". Julie came out and said, "No...I already kinda adjusted while you two were unconscious the last couple of days". Victoria looked at her mother who nodded and said "It's true, when you two returned you were alive but wiped out...so we have just been around here bonding and hanging out until you guys woke up...Carlos apparently is more wiped out". Victoria giggled and said, "he'll be okay but we've got catching up to do".

Andrea smiled at her daughter and said "Yes we do but first things first...you will start going to bed at 10:30 again and missy look at your teeth and I've heard about your grades too". Victoria looked at her dad and he said "Nope I can't get you out of this one sweetie". She smiled before hugging her mother and saying "It's good to have you back Mother" and Andrea smiled and said "It's good to see that you haven't matured beyond the point of needing me...those other two said "you spoke like a grown business woman". Victoria giggled ad said "it's all a front...I learned it from my mother". 

Andrea said "Why you little brat" before tickling her daughter mercilessly and saying afterward "Oh dear what seems to have happened to that strong front you were talking about Ms. Mendoza?". Victoria got up and said "Can't catch me" and Andrea said "If I do you're gonna start studying right away" and Victoria said, "Fine but it'll never happen ".Julie watched her daughter and grandchild chase each other with a smile on her face until she walked over to the window and looked up at the shimmering stars that were becoming visible with the sunset. She thought to herself "Thank you, you two, I can never repay you for the gift of bringing my baby back but I hope with everything in my heart that you and your daughter got the second chance I have been blessed with". 

Meanwhile, back in the future, 18-year-old Victoria awoke in her bedroom and quickly rushed downstairs to find her mom and dad sitting on the couch. She ran over to them and hugged them tightly before saying "You did it, I'm alive again". Andrea and Jay looked at each other before Andrea grabbed her daughter's hand. She said, "We're sorry about having to kill you sweetie...it wasn't personal but we couldn't change you back so we did what we had to". Victoria looked at them confused before the memories came flooding back and she fell to her feet in tears. Andrea pulled her into her arms and said "Don't cry sweetie, all those people you killed are alive again and me nor your dad blame you for anything". 

Andrea grabbed Victoria by the ear and said "If you ever try to kill yourself again though, I will put you in suspended animation so long you'll be 50 by the time you wake up". Victoria said, "Ow ow I'm sorry okay... I only did it because my life was gone". Andrea sighed and said, "Me and Jay will die one day for good anyways, so even if we're not here, we want you to continue living your life...everything we did and continue to do was for you to grow up and have a wonderful almost normal life like we did...but without the bullying and attempted suicides and murders".

Victoria looked at her and said "Um what" and Andrea said, "Uh nothing...just remember we've lived our lives to the fullest and we're content...but your life is just beginning and you have so many things to do sweetie." Jay smiled and said, "Yes, like having grandkids for your parents to hug and kiss ".Victoria turned red and said "N-no... we haven't done anything like that your perverts". Andrea giggled and said "How do you think you were born missy" and Victoria cringed and said, "Ew that's even grosser". 

Andrea shook her head and said "I was just like you before me and your father got some alone time together", Victoria said "Okay I'm just going to walk away now before I get scarred for life" and Andrea smiled and said, "don't forget to take your car for a spin... I'm sure since today is your birthday, Carlos will wanna take you somewhere".
