James slowly opened his eyes, his head still foggy from the stasis. As his senses returned, he realized that he was in a dark and unfamiliar room. He quickly sat up, his heart racing with confusion and fear. He looked around and saw that he was in a laboratory filled with equipment and monitors. He tried to stand up, but his legs felt weak and unsteady.

As he stumbled toward the door, he heard a faint sound of footsteps outside. He froze, realizing that he was not alone. Suddenly, the door opened, and a pack of velociraptors burst into the room. James quickly ducked behind a nearby table, his heart pounding in his chest.

The raptors sniffed around the room, searching for their prey. James held his breath, trying to remain quiet and still. One of the raptors approached his hiding spot, and he could feel its hot breath on his skin.

James closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable attack, but to his surprise, the raptor suddenly turned away and rejoined the pack. James let out a sigh of relief, but his respite was short-lived.

He quickly realized that the raptors were not leaving the room but were instead surrounding him, blocking his escape. James knew that he had to think quickly if he wanted to survive.

He looked around the room, searching for a way out. His eyes landed on a nearby vent, and he knew that it was his only chance. He quickly made his way towards it, using the tables and equipment as cover.

As he reached the vent, he realized that it was too small for him to fit through. He desperately searched for a way to open it, but his hands were shaking with fear and exhaustion. He could hear the raptors closing in, their teeth gnashing in anticipation.

With one last effort, James managed to pry open the vent, squeezing himself through the small opening. He heard the raptors snarling and snapping at him as he crawled through the duct, but he knew that he had to keep moving.

Finally, he emerged on the other side of the room, panting and sweating. He looked around and saw that he was in a different part of the laboratory, far away from the raptors.

He collapsed on the ground, exhausted but relieved. He knew that he had narrowly escaped death, but he also knew that the danger was far from over. He had to find a way out of the laboratory and reunite with his friends, but he had no idea what horrors awaited him outside the door.
