Dear Billy

Steve glances at his watch for the fourth time, looking back and forth at Max who's sitting down before Billy's grave.

"I... I can go if you don't-"

"I'll go. Just... Not right now.."  Steve doesn't look at Dustin.

"No, seriously, man. If you don't feel like you can do it, I don't blame you--"

"I said it's fine, Henderson!"

Dustin takes a deep breath, "it's ok if you're not ready to go to his resting place just yet." He lifts his hands in the air before getting out of the car and joining Lucas on the grass.

Steve stares at him with annoyed eyes before rolling them away from his little friend. He bites his lips as he thinks about what he said. Yeah, maybe he isn't ready to visit Billy just yet. It's too soon. And he hasn't had the time to fully wrap his head around the fact that Billy is actually gone for good, so permanently.

He sighs, "I'm sorry, Hargrove..."

"'sup, man!" Eddie sneaks into Steve's car, which is beyond confusing and surprising to Steve.

He snaps, "what the hell are you doing here, Munson!?"

"You guys left me with no food! I was going hungry!" He looks around the seats.

"How- How did you even make it here...?"

Eddie stops for a second, "I dunno, maybe the hood covering my hair and this black blanket I took helped a bit, just a guess though."

"So you couldn't get to a convenience store with that costume...?"

Eddie shows the inside of his jacket, "no money, amigo."

Steve rolls his eyes and glances at his watch, then his frown lands on max as she is sitting before Billy's tomb. He was hoping she'd be done quick enough before he had to go near there.

"So..." Eddie whispers, "do you have any foo--"

"Shut up." His eyes stay on Max, something feels off.

Eddie obeys for only a second, "who's Hargrove?"

"What?" That catches Steve's full attention, pulling it from Max.

"You apologized to some Har-- Oh..." He looks past Steve to see Max. "That blonde guy, Bobby-"

"Billy." Steve's getting somewhat angry, frustrated.

"Billy! Right, right,... Hunger, y'know? Clouds my head... Yeah, I knew the guy..."

"I know you did." Steve exhales, like a bull getting tired. He sits back.

Eddie looks at him, "really? He, uh, he told you about me...?"

"We had a fight about you once."

Steve goes to visit Billy at his place when he knows Neil wouldn't be there. When Billy opens the door, he doesn't look at Steve, he just walks away for Steve to walk in.
