Didn't expect to be writing another chapter here, but the situation called for it. Here we go.
So my uncle (M) had invited me and my sister (A) to go and see the new guardians of the galaxy movie. I loved the movie with my soul. A and I were originally planning to go out to se the film together since before the trailer aired and we made the mistake of telling our uncle.
He picked us up and drove us to the cinema today and everything was flying smoothly. We got to an intersection and stopped. M then said in an exciting tone "two months to T's (my aunt) wedding." In return I brought up that it was less than a month until my birthday, which shut him up.
We get to the theatre and my sister and I pick our snacks. I go to pay on my card but I was a little short. I told M that I was going to transfer money and it would take two seconds. But before I could confirm the transfer, M had already paid with his card.
We grabbed our snacks and he said that we now owed him. I handed him the cash that mum gave me for the food, but it wasn't enough. I was short about twenty bucks.
M then said that we were short money and called my mum that she owed him money for the snacks I said I was going to pay for. I told him that I had cash at home and could pay him when he dropped us off.
The three of us walked into the theatre and found our seats at the very back corner.
Movie ends and the second the credits show up, M starts rushing us to leave. In doing so, I forgot my bag I had bought with me. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I was at home.
We get home and I hand M the money. I then realise that my bag is still at the cinema and I start to freak out. M asks dad if I'm going to start hyperventilating, to which dad says probably. M just laughs and leaves.
Dad takes me back to the cinema to claim my bag and we go back home. I begin to tell him how much M complained and dramatised everything.
I get home and we all agree that none of us will be going to the movies with M anymore.
So did I make a mistake going to the movies?
Please answer honestly, I like hearing your thoughts.
