"Why did you agree to marry me?" Arjun asked looking at her eyes.

Saahithiya was startled by his sudden question. She didn't expect him to ask this now.

"W...why are you asking me this now ??" Saahithiya asked him.

"Tell me.... I want to know...what is the reason you agree to marry me ??" Arjun asked her.

"What are you coming to say Arjun??" Saahithiya asked him sternly.

"Th...that is... why did you agree to marry a person with a child... I mean it's second marriage for me na.... What I am asking is...you are well educated person a good doctor,you look good,a good human being you are....you could have married a person according to your wishes....then why you agreed marry me???" Arjun asked her.

Saahithiya glared at him and said "you are also a well educated person a good businessman,you look good,a good human being....you could have also married a person according to wishes na...then why did you married me??" .

Haaaan....Arjun was perplexed by her reply.

"Aiii.... don't divert the topic...tell me the real reason please... I want to know.... This was the only one question running in my mind for few months now.... I badly need the answers Saahithiya please.... Are you forced in this? Did someone blackmailed you??" Arjun was asking her non- stop.

Saahithiya came near him and held his face in her palms saying "Arjun relax.....shhh don't talk....relax...take deep breaths...yeah like that only... Come sit here". She made him sit in couch and gave him water.

"First of all...NO ONE can force me to do something... I will do what I wish to...not on someone's words...do you get it?
I was not forced in this marriage indeed I married you with my whole heart". Saahithiya said caressing his cheek.

Arjun smiled and asked "really" while holding her hands which is on his cheeks.

"Hmm.... That was the time I finished my PG and got a chance to work under my favourite mentor in smile hospital... I accepted the job offer and was working there. After 1 month of me working there,my mentor was taking maternity leave so she asked me and my colleague to look after her patients..we also agreed as in that one month she explained all her patients about her leave and us being their doctors in her absence... Then one day when I was in morning duty, I met a beautiful angel OUR SARA...she was crying in her grandma's hands. When I first took her in my hands I felt surreal, I started patting her back saying soothing words, she slowly stopped her crying and was looking at me with her big doe eyes with tears still left in it. I smiled at her and asked mom about why she is crying and started checking her up. My angel had a ear infection that's why she was crying.... As it was a mild infection I cleaned her ears and gave ear drops and medications and asked them to visit again next week.

After one week, again mom and Sara came for check up, she was raising her arms asking me to pick her up and when I picked her up she touched my cheeks calling me 'ma' I was stunned... I don't know what the feeling is but I felt very happy that is the moment of my life I can't just express in words and don't want to forget. Mom was shocked by her words I was also... mom took her  from me and  apologied on behalf of Sara... I don't know what to say so I said it's ok she is a baby. After that I checked the Sara... her ear infection were completely cured... so I said them to come for regular baby checkup.

After that I met Sara so many times with mom once in coffee shop, in the shopping mall , in park.... We met frequently. whenever we used to meet Sara used to call me 'maa' and mom was confused everytime about why Sara calling a stranger as maa. I was also confused of Sara's behaviour. One day mom came to my hospital and she said she wants to talk to me.... I was perplexed about why she asking me suddenly.... so I said we can meet in evening in the nearby coffee shop .We both met and she said about Sara's mother's death and she said 'Sara is yearning for mother's love and she felt that mother's warmth and love in me that's why she is calling me maa'. I don't know how to react to that but I felt happy within me. She ask me whether I am married or not and after talking for sometime randomly .we both went our ways. Next day evening when I went home....Amma and Appa said me about one marriage alliance has come for me...and they said me about YOU AND SARA....first I was shocked. I said my parents about events happened with Sara and she calling me maa....they were amused by it. Amma said that 'Sara would have really felt a mother in you that's why she is calling you maa'.
I smiled. Appa said 'first we will clearly check the groom's background then we can decide about this alliance'.
