The Paper || Hyunlix

Uncomfortable

     Lee Felix is sitting down at his desk, working silently on a worksheet their professor gave them. He was listening to his favorite kpop group, Stray Kids. Just then, he gets a notification that someone he's following is live.

     He clicks on the live and goes back to writing, but then he hears a familiar voice. "Hi everyone!" Felix glances over at his phone to see Hwang Hyunjin waving. He talks for a little bit, but then he stops and stares at the screen. "Where's the other members?" Hyunjin reads one of the comments in English.

     He pauses, trying to remember what to say. "Some of... members..." He looks off at a wall, seeming confused, letting out a little laugh. "Some of member goes... go... some of... some of members..." A small smile grows on Felix's face while listening to the boy try to remember his English. 

     Hyunjin clears his throat, wiping his nose with his arm. "...Went to work out..." He tilts his head to the side. "Is that right...?" Quickly, he switches back to Korean. "By the way guys, do you think it would be fun to let one of you join the live?" The chat immediately fills with a bunch of yesses, for a chance to be able to talk to Hyunjin.  

     He taps his chin, thinking about something. "What was the name... of my very first dog?" Felix looks over at the chat to see everyone saying Kkami. Setting down his pencil he types Kkomi and clicks send, forgetting about the whole joining the live thing. "Oh! I see some correct answers. But... someone of course got it right first."

     Felix hears a ping, and glances at his phone to see who got to join the live. But his eyes widen when he sees his face on the screen. Felix jumps, slamming his knee against his desk and dropping his pencil. "Sorry, did I startle you?" Hyunjin asks, while everyone in Felix's class turns to look at him. 

     "Felix? Are you okay?" His teacher asks, and Felix takes one earbud out, a bit of pain laced in his voice.

     "Yeah! I just... got caught off guard." He leans over his chair to pick up his pencil. 

     "Are you in school?" Felix looks over at his phone to see Hyunjin still staring at him.

      "Ah... I am. Sorry I really didn't mean to win." Hyunjin's eyebrows furrow, and Felix sighs. "Not that I didn't want to." He combs his hair back with his fingers in exasperation. He really hated being so awkward. However, the raven just kept staring. "Uh... hello?"

     "My bad, you're just... really pretty..." On the other side of the phone, Hyunjin's eyes widen when he realizes what he had just said. Felix looked just as surprised, and before he could say anything else, Felix leaves. Hyunjin sits there awkwardly before he abruptly ends the live. Immediately, he stands up and runs to see if the members came back.

     He sees Chan sitting on the couch and goes over to him. "Hyung."

     "What's up?" He looks up at the boy.

     "I think I fucked up." Hyunjin shows him a replay of the live. 

     "My bad, you're just... really pretty..." The look on Felix's face when he left. Chan glances at Hyunjin.

     "Hyunjin... please tell me that's edited."

     "It's not." He sighs. "Come on you have to help me!"

     "Well... you have to apologize." Chan grabs the boy's phone clicks on Instagram. "Did he say his name?"

     "I heard his teacher call him Felix." He searches up the name Felix in hopes of finding the boy. However, there were so many accounts with the name Felix it made Hyunjin nervous. "I'm gonna be in so much trouble..."
