HADES

Chapter One

In a dark hot foggy fiery world filled with mountain ranges, volcanoes and lava, one little creature silently crawls on the dry soil. It appears to be a worm like creature with fangs on it's mouth parts, complete with four small cursorial legs on each side, along with pitch black eyes, and it seems to be hungry. It stops as it spots a blue light atop of a small hill up front, then it scutters with speed as it realizes it is a sign of food. The blue light leads it to a hole filled with blue magical energy called mana and the hole its in is called a mana well, here our little creature sinks its fangs through the hole and starts feeding. However, it is disturbed by a loud crashing sound from somewhere not that far. Curious it decides to investigate, popping it's head up a little bit just to see his surroundings and it spots two silhouettes of upright creatures fighting in the fog. Deeming the situation too dangerous, it flees the area and starts searching for another mana well to feed.

In a few days of feeding and avoiding other creatures that seek to either kill or eat it, it has now grown in size, length and seemingly in strength. One lucky day it found a large mana well that could immediately make it grow a lot more than what the previous mana wells did for it. These things do run empty after a while of feeding, so having found a large one is an opportunity of a lifetime. However in a stroke of bad luck, our little creature trips and falls into the large mana well. As it falls, everything changes. The drop it felt was rather soft and comforting, and when it looked around it realized it is now in a different place. The once dark and foggy environment it knew is now a bright and beautiful forest filled with life, and what we thought was a small creature was actually larger than a dog. Confused and terrified it runs away, looking for the mana well where it fell. Suddenly there was a loud crack followed by a stinging pain from one of his sides, it gave out a pained shriek as it tumbled under a tree. Slowly and painfully it witnesses itself transform into what looks like a human boy, no more than five years of age. After the transformation he starts to feel drowsy and was about lose consciousness when he hears a young lady shout, "There's an unconscious boy! Quickly Maria! Get me clo..!".

He wakes up in a room beautifully decorated, fully furnished and smells lady-like. He gets up and is immediately surprised upon seeing what he is now, a human boy although he still doesn't know exactly what he is. He is very fascinated with his hands and feet, and how he could jump around and grab things with his new form. Then he sees himself in a mirror where he clearly sees what he looks like, a young boy with fair white skin, white hair that stretches down to his shoulders and crimson red eyes. "Oh, you're awake.", said a young lady as she enters the boy's room, "I brought you some bread and biscuits in case you're hungry... And i can get you some milk if you'd like.", she added smiling at him. He looks at her in awe, he has never seen a creature with such soft beautiful eyes and long black hair. He goes to grab her hand and she let's him. Feeling how soft and warm it is on his cheeks. He doesn't know why but he somehow feels safe around the young lady. She then sat down to be at his height, "Do you have a name little boy?", asked the lady. He looks at her confused, like he does not know what she's saying. "Can you not talk? Where's your parents?", she continued then again he looks at her with the same facial expression. "I don't think he has parents, i also don't think he can talk.", someone behind the young lady spoke. They both looked to see a young girl that looks a bit older than him come near. "Don't say things like that infront of the boy Maria, that's so rude.", replied the lady. "But he doesn't understand mom! Look, he's confused.", said the young girl.
"I suppose he is that unfortunate... But maybe fortune may have turned when we found him and maybe his good luck is us. Don't you think Maria?", asked her mom.
"Well if we are you're lucky charms, then let me think of a name for you.", said Maria facing the young boy.
"Neeym?", said the boy trying to copy what Maria is saying.
"Yes!", said the girl chuckling, "You're name will be Okio!".
Suddenly the boy's face lighten up smiling at her and then he shouts "OKIO!" The girl giggles and asks, "Come play with me outside Okio, I'll teach you how to say things."

Then Okio went outside with Maria to play and pronounce words together.
