She woke up in the middle of the night to a screaming baby. Helena looked over at Mikey "mike" he started to snore. Helena wiggled him still half asleep "Michael James !" He wouldnt wake up, "god dammit Mikey" she kicked him in the butt, but nothing happen " Are you fucking kidding me" she wanted to cry
The weary mother got up and start mumbling to herself "I gotta do everything at night. It's your fucking turn! Feed the goddamn baby! Is it that hard to stick a bottle of food in their mouths? I think not!"
She slowly walked in and they were both screaming. She wanted to pull her hair out . "Im gonna cry too if your dad doesn't come and help me."
She picked up her baby boy and started rocking him. Katy looked rather jealous and made a face "don't look at me like that you freakin monster"
Helena was drowsy, very drowsy. Drowsy enough to not see a toy, one of Oli's favorites, that was laying on the floor, right where she was about to step. She collapsed while holding her son.
Oli started to sob the most genuine tears a child could cry. Mikey ran into the room. "Oh my god no what the hell happened?" Helena got pissed "You come now!?" "Yeah I come know what the hell happened? " she groaned " I slipped on a toy" he knelt beside them"are you okay? Is the baby okay?" "I think the babies ok," Mikey picked up the baby "me on the other hand, I definitely folded something a way it was not supposed to go" he wanted to laugh "ok, I'll take you to the hospital, and we're bringing Oli just in case." The babies were screaming. Helena looked at her daughters crib to see she was still there "you know, Katy is here too" he looked at her like she solve an impossible math problem "ok, I'll call my mom and tell her to meet us at the hospital."
Mikey strapped the babies in their seats and helped Helena into the car, just like the good old days. He started the car and slowly backed up. "So how did this happen?" He asked "I was tired, there was a firetruck on the floor, Long story short, I fell on it! Get the gist?" He drove intensely "yes I get the gist"
"You know," Helena said looking at her leg in the car, she giggled "it kinda looks like, a dolphin!" "Helena, sweetheart, that does NOT look like a dolphin" she poked it and made a shushing noise and giggled again "dolphins!!" They pulled up the the emergency room "the fuck did you take?" "I wish it was a unicorn! I could have sat on it and flew into the night!" Mikey made a face "ok" Helena screamed "woooo for narnia!!!"
He got out, picked her up and brought her inside "she broke her leg" He said to the doctors "obviously" one said. Another said "how did this happen?" He scratched his head "she slipped on a fire truck, a toy one, and fell wrong" the doctor tilted his head "how does one-, never mind" Mikey made a stopping motion with his hands "wait! Stay here!" He ran out side to get his kids "this is Oliver and we were wondering if you could look at him, Helena dropped him when she fell." He smiled at the baby "alright, we will take a look at him" He handed him the child "thank you" then he sat next to Katy.
Katy couldn't contain herself, she laughed so very hard "why are you so happy? Mama and your brother just took a big fall!" She smiled, oh how her daddy loved it when she smiled. "Damn you child, stooooop laaaaughing!" She laughed "you see its just pointless with you" he kissed the side of her forehead.
Mikey 's mother arrived "hello gorgeous!" She was looking for a hug. Mikey flipped his jet black hair "oh thanks" Mikey replied "no no not you! The baby" "yeah okay sure. So please take her to your house for tonight, I'll stay right here and wait for future wife and other baby" she took Katy from him and smiled "can do!" He sighed in relief "thanks mom"
He waited for what felt like days until Helena came out with a green cast keeping her leg in place. "Hey how's that dolphin going beautiful?" He asked her "very funny," she answered "apparently I snapped a bone and it cut through my leg causing blood loss, and from what? Slipping on a fire truck." He put his hands on her shoulders "well that explains why I've been siting here so long, no ones told me any of this-" "that's probably because they forgot about you or something like that" he gave her a smirk "oh hahaha your so funny" she laughed and tried to slip one of her hands behind his neck to kiss him, it didn't work Mikey revived her by grabbing her waist and pressing her against himself.
"Oh shit!" She screamed as Mikey was about to kiss her "my baby! where is he Mikey? I wanna know!" He stared and made an awkward face "well, like I said before, I got no information"
"Really?"
"Really"
"God dammit I demand a doctor!" A very pale nurse walked up to Helena and smiled "you may see your baby right now, try not to make too much noise though, we are trying to keep the swelling down" Helena screamed and almost growled at the pale lady in front of her "WHAT? WHAT SWELLING??" She was about to grab her crutch and swing at the nurse but Mikey grabbed her arms "we would like to see our child, and we will keep the noise down, right sweetheart?" Helena turned around " you don't call me that, don't call me-" muffled noises came out of her mouth after he covered it with his hand "right sweetheart?" She sighed "yeah..."
They walked in the room with silent feet, then they saw him unconscious in a bed. She started to cry Mikey tried quite her by shoving her into his chest. "Is he ok?" He asked "he's fine, he's just sleeping" Helena wiped her tears , he's okay.
