Jessica POV

I felt like I was in a dark void. Everything was black, I couldn't move, I could see. I could hear Gray next to me, "Jessica, wake up," he said. I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn't open. "Please, open your eyes," he said and I tried to open my eyes again, but they just wouldn't. Something was keeping me in this black void, I felt stuck. I felt a hand on mine and I felt a really strong positive energy, but it was short cause the hand moved. "What was that?" I heard Lucy say. "I don't know, it happened after Gray touched her," Natsu stated. So Gray had his hand on mine, not gonna lie it was nice. "Do it again Gray, it gave off very positive energy," Erza stated and I felt the energy again. The strength in my body was coming back to me, I felt my magic coming back too. I finally was able to open my eyes, and when I looked up the first thing I saw was Gray's face. "Gray?" "Jessica your finally awake," Lucy said and I look a her. "How long was I out?" I asked. "A couple hours, but you seem fine now," Erza replied. I looked back to Gray and I saw him looking at me with a smile. "What?" I asked getting embarrassed. "Nothing, just happy to see you awake, is all," he said, and I could have sworn that there was slight pink tint to his cheeks. "So how are you feeling?" Natsu asked, snapping me back to reality. "Still a little weak but my magic is coming back to me," I said as I sat up. "We were worried, you ended up spiking a high fever when you came out of the Lullaby Monster. I would say that Gray was more worried than everyone combined plus some," Happy said, the last part he had a small smirk on his face. "No I wasn't cat!!" Gray defended. "Yeah you were. All you did for the past couple hours was stay by her side, you never left the room," Happy said again. "Shut it Happy," Gray yelled, trying to get happy to stop talking. "Anyway, I'm glad that your awake, but I need to go find the master, and ask him a question," Erza said and walked out of the room.

Erza POV

I was walking around the town of Clover trying to find the master. I was about to turn a corner, when I heard a voice call my name. "Erza, you wouldn't be looking for me now would you?" I turned and saw the master. "Master, something strange happened between Jessica and Gray before she woke up," I told him. "Hmm and what would that be?" he asked. "While Jessica was unconscious, gray was talking to her and she began to stir a little, but when Gray touched her hand, a very positive energy was given off," I replied. "Hmmm that is strange, but it could have something to do with the relationship between Gray and Jessica." he stated. "What do you mean?" I questioned becoming curious. "Have you ever heard of the Legend the Darkness and her light?" Master asked. "I have not, is it something to do with the Jessica's magic?" I asked him. "Yes," a voice said behind me. I turned to see Master Bob, and he look sad but happy at the same time. "Legend has it, a long time ago, a curse was placed on a baby by the Dark Wizard Zeref, thus creating the magic of the Dark Marphix. Now as the baby grew up she presented a dark energy that many people wouldn't dare go near. Only one person would go near this energy, the one who was destined to love the the holder of the Dark Morhpix. No one knew how this came to be, or how the person was chosen, and we my never find that out," Master Bob continued. "Would the contact of these two individuals create a very powerful, positive energy that strengthens the weaker one?" I asked him. "No, the contact of the two would give off a slightly negative energy that is supposed to strengthen the magic of the Dark Morphix," he said confused. "But when Gray and Jessica touched, there was a wave of positive energy, no darkness was presen-" I said but trailed off as I remembered what Lucy said about Jessica when we first learned about her.

Flashback

"Well, the Dark Morphix is a legendary magic, only on family is known to have it, and it's passed on to each generation. The Dark Morphix is very dangerous if it is used in the wrong way, it can cause even the brightert light to go dark," she started, "I've heard of it but I thought it was just a legend," she continued. I looked down in shame. "But the legend also said, that the Dark Morphix was passed down to a wizard that had the brightest light in her heart, but the light never dimmed, and she ended up being trained to control the magic, but she vanished after a fire hit her village, and she never fully learned how to use it," she finished.

Flashback over

"What If the light in her heart never went dark due?" I asked. "What do you mean Erza?" Master Makerov asked. "Lucy said something about their being a wizard that had a light so bright in her heart as a child that when the Dark Morphix was passed on, the light never went dark. What if that mage was Jessica?" I questioned. "You could be right, if the light in her heart was never darkened, then maybe the energy that if given to her my her love is positive and not negative," Master Bob said. "That's very possible, the magic would just work as a healer instead of add more darkness to their heart," Makerov stated. "I need to tell this to Gray, he has be the one destined to love Jessica," I said and took off back toward the medical building.

Gray POV

I was in the room with Jessica still, Natsu and Lucy left back to the inn. I just couldn't leave her side, I don't know why. I just feel like she is someone I've known my whole life. "Gray, what happened after the light engulfed me?" she asked looking worriedly at me. "Well, the flute turned into a monster and you were trapped inside of it-" I started but was cut off by the door opening. It opened to reveal Erza, "Gray we need to talk," she said and I was confused.
