You have to love me!

Strong willed, resolute, confident. These are a few words used to describe the grand king of the koopas. After all, he was a well liked ruler, always just in his actions and reasonings. He truly looked after his kingdom, always trying to help the issues his land faced daily. Even if it meant... Doing some interesting things. At least,

That's what Bowser told himself.

The true words spoken about him were rarely what he thought. Of course he wasn't always off on his assumptions of what his subjects have said about him. Strong? Yes of course, have you seen his stature and build? Confident? Annoyingly so that it makes anyone want to immediately shut down in frustration. But what everyone actually called him was: stubborn, selfish, arrogant, delusional, aggressive, two faced, the list just goes on really. It's embarrassing how little his kingdom truly cares for him, all because he can't get his head out of his own ass.

But Bowser didn't see any of that. Due to scaring every subject into submission, he figured everyone respected him. It was the fear of getting killed or sent to the dungeon that had everyone "respecting" him. (Bless the poor goomba who told Bowser that he's actually insane if he thinks kidnapping the princess over and over and over again will get her to love him. )

Even if Bowser was insanely delusional about a lot of things, people thought he had changed when he finally realized that Peach would never be with him. The darklands rejoiced when he announced an alliance with the Mushroom Kingdom, allowing them to trade and help their economy. Koopas, goombas, bob-ombs, drybones, boos, every inhabitant living within the ashy walls of the kingdom cheered louder than they have ever towards their king. It seemed like everything was finally looking up for Bowser and his people.

However, the kingdoms happily ever after didn't even last a month. The citizens began to notice Bowsers agitation, his constant fidgeting, even his short temper becoming even shorter some how. Dismay and anxiety began to slowly tear the kingdom apart, and the king didn't even know. Or perhaps he just didn't care. After all, present Bowser wasn't even in his crumbling kingdom.

Bowser, the great king, had himself hidden behind a tree with a dopey grin. His crimson eyes following a certain plumber inr green, his pupils dilating and turning to slits when anyone even just so happened to look in the green mans direction.

Taking a deep breath and pushing his hair back with his large clawed hand, he makes his way from the tree and into the markets main road. He tried to shake the nerves that crept up his scaley neck the closer he got to his certain someone, completely ignoring the frightened Toads that were alerting guards of his presence. It didn't matter what others thought, because all Bowser cared about was the goal in front of him. One foot after the other, he would tell himself; trying to soothe his tightening chest.

The ground rumbled and shook beneath the weight of Bowsers feet. Trying to be as quiet as possible was insanely difficult when you weigh well over 500 pounds and are as tall as a lamp post. Still, he tried to creep himself closer to his special someone. Suddenly he stopped dead in his tracks when the person turned around to look at him.

Bowser looked so silly, his stance made it seem like he was trying to be a sneaky ninja. Arms raised, foot just above the ground he was going to step on, his head hunch down towards his shoulders. He quickly fixed his posture, now standing upright and coughing into his fist awkwardly. Bowsers cheeks warmed up when he saw the small males mustache curl up as he smiled. A giggle flooded the kings senses, making him shift a bit with anxiety and excitement.

If you weren't able to guess who Bowsers mystery crush is, it's our favorite anxious plumber: Luigi! Today was Luigi's turn to go grocery shopping so he was out and about in a green t-shirt and blue jorts, paired perfectly with his signature hat. The sight had Bowsers heart fluttering, but the smile paired with his beautifully sounding laugh had the king nearly turn to jelly. Composing himself, he tried to act cool and lean against a tree, smirking down at the human.
