Chapter 5: Runaway (Part Two)

Clementine's P.O.V

I sat on a log, staring at the dog 'I hope this dog isn't bitten...' I thought myself, I looked at the collar the dog had on "Your name is...Sam..." I said to myself, my stomach growled loudly "Oh man... I need to eat..." I said, I stood up and walked around the little camp site, I saw a duffel bag next to the tied up walker, the walker groaned and moaned, I took out my pistol, aimed the gun at the walker's head "I'm sorry this happened to you." I said in a tone filled with slight sadness, and I pulled the trigger. BLAM! I stared at the duffel bag, I opened it up and I began to search through the bag, I saw an unopened can of green beans, along with a can opener, I walked back to the log I sat on with the can opener in one hand, and the can of green beans in the other. Once I sat down, I noticed that Sam was staring at me, I looked back and forth at the can of green beans, and Sam. "Are you hungry?" I asked him, Sam replied in a low growl, I opened the can of green beans, once I opened it however, Sam attacked me, he bit me on my arm, I struggled and struggled, thankfully I was able to stand up, Sam went over to the spilled can of green beans and started to eat, I stared at the wound that Sam gave me, when I heard a voice "Clementine!" Said Bigby, I looked up and smiled, I ran over to him and hugged him. When we finally stop hugging, he instantly saw the wound. "Clem...What happened?" He asked me "I got bit by Sam..." I said as I pointed to Sam, who was still eating the rest of the green beans. "What were you doing out here?" He asked me. "I went to go look for some more food, that's when I saw Sam..." I said looking down a bit. "Come on. Let's go back to Fabletown and patch up that wound." He said, motioning me to follow him, I followed him back to Fabletown. Once we arrived back, he led me to a doctor's office "Hello Mr. Bigby, is there anything I can help you with?" Asked the doctor "Yeah. Clem here got bit and I need to you to patch her up." Big by said, the doctor looked at me with a worried expression. "Well, that depends, what was she bit by?" Asked the doctor. "I was bit by a dog." I responded, the doctor walked over to me and took a look at the bite. He went over to a first aid kit and took out some bandages, he wrapped the bandages around the wound. "Alright, the bite should heal in about eight days, I suggest to wash the wound out everyday, put new bandages on it every two days, and Bigby I suggest you don't leave her out of your sight for a while." He said, Bigby nodded and stared down at me. We left the doctor's office and began to walk towards the Woodland Apartments "You get some rest Clem, in the morning I'll wake you up and help wash that wound." He said "Alright." I responded. We went to our apartments, when I got to my apartment, I entered and went straight over to the bed, I turned off the lamp on the stand next to the bed, I got into the covers and drifted off to sleep.
