The beautiful moon illuminated a figure withering as time passed byHe was under so much pain
His crow swallowed by something the demon conjured, eliminating any chance for backup
Panting as he clutched his bloodied arm quickly trying to stop the bleeding, contemplating whether or not to find a way to cut it's head that guaranteed self sacrifice or just keep the demon down till sunrise in order to warn the corps of his bizarre encounter
With a hardened face and breathing back on track he faced her once more, clutching his katana trying to predict her moves, calculating his next strikes to finally behead the powerful demon, choosing the first option so no one would ever have to suffer the same faith, praying that someone out there would encounter a lower demon who also have an immunity to wisteria and report it to the corps
He wondered if facing the demon alone was the right choice
This place was known to be free from demons as it's surrounded by wisteria and often times demon slayers especially Hashiras would come by to rest
He couldn't remember a single moment where someone complained about this safe haven or even a simple thought about a strange occurrence
He will most likely die alone
He knows that fact
An upper moon demon and a single wounded Hashira
With those thoughts lingering inside his steeled mind the demon with blood on her golden fans eyed the stone cold Hashira
Opposite to his jet black hair and ocean eyes, the demon Infront of him had snow white wavy hair flowing like soft ocean tides framing her blood red orbs that 'mocked' the weakened Hashira
She wasn't doing anything that one could label as mocking but to the demon slayer's mind it was
With blood on her weapon covering her chin, she looked at him with calm and kind eyes with a soft heart warming smile
To the Hashira this was irritatingly terrifying
No matter what he did and how fast he pushed himself it only ended with nothing but vain
He couldn't even land any blows that threatened the female demon, adding on the the frustration from the facial expression that contrasted her very being
She felt like an alien than a demon
She mercilessly wounded him and yet had that emotion on her face
Was she a psychopath?
An empty shell?
This demon was odd
With blood almost coating his lower body and shaky breaths from the alarming lack of blood, he kept his ground, eagerly waiting for the sun to rise
He quickly dodged her levitating blades engulfed in dark green fire like some toxic substance
She just looked at him with the same expression with a few furrowing of the eyebrow and light frowns that quickly snapped back to her 'kind' persona
With a few minutes left, he fought hard and finally, he did it
he finally did it
A single Hashira has killed an upper moon demon
An UPPER MOON DEMON
This would've been a special celebration with himself and some Salmon and Radish Hikkake if only he wasn't at deaths doors with all the blood loss and wounds he had suffered
