Sharmaine sighed for the nth time, obviously annoyed and irritated.
She was as sure as a bear ready to hibernate when she felt that the guy sitting behind him was staring at her. It’s like the guy wasn’t even the least embarrassed whether he would get caught or not.
“Excuse me,” she finally spoke and looked at him. “Kanina ko pa kasi napapansin, pero bakit mo ba ako tinitingnan?” She squinted her eyes at him, somewhat accusing him for being such a creep.
As the bus had reached the bus stop near Sharmaine's school, she hopped out of the bus and as she turned back, she saw the creepy guy behind him again.
Hindi naman siya nakasuot ng uniform ng Shinhwa University. So that gives her the conclusion na hindi rin estudyante yung guy na yun sa school niya.
"Sinusundan mo talaga ako, 'no?" She asked, placing her hand on her waist.
“Hindi naman kita sinusundan eh, sinisigurado ko lang na safe ka.” The man replied back, not even alarmed with her threat.
At ano naman ang pakialam ng lalaking ‘yon kung ligtas siya o hindi? Kanya-kanyang buhay lang naman yan eh.
“Bakit?” Was what she only managed to utter, brows furrowed.
The guy shrugged. “Kasi gusto ko, and it’s also my responsibility to do so.”
Now Sharmaine was even more confused. Naka-inom ba ‘yang lalaking ‘yan o sadyang naka-drugs lang talaga? Napaka-imba pakinggan eh. Responsibilty? Ang ano?
“Exactly how is it your responsibility to make sure I’m safe?” She raised a brow. “Eh kung titingnan mo parang sinusundan mo na ang bawat galaw ko eh! Isusumbong talaga kita sa pulis, sige ka!” She accused.
“Okay lang, samahan pa kita eh.” The latter shrugged.
Sharmaine scoffed. “Hoy, hindi ka ba natatakot na baka makulong ka? Sa itsura mong ‘yan eh parang mas matanda ka pa nga sakin eh! Mind you, college student na ako. Graduating pa. So don’t you ever come down on your knees and beg me not to do it when we’re at the station.”
“Hindi ka pa rin naman talaga nagbabago eh...”
“Ano ba!” She exclaimed, feeling the anger build up. He's not getting reasonable at all.
How can this guy be so calm like nothing's wrong with what he is doing? Stalker na siya eh! Siguro nga kung elementary student pa lang si Sharmaine, pedophile na ang dating nitong lalaking 'to.
To her surprise, the guy only smiled at her gently, sending a weird feeling on her stomach. And no, she’s not hungry or she is on her monthly period.
“Girlfriend kita, Sharmaine. At kahit kalian, hinding-hindi ako magsasawang ipaalala sayo iyon.”
