out of time

Chapter One: Summer with the blues.

I checked the clock, and it was already ten so I clocked out of work. I drove home to see Daniel sitting on our doorstep playing on his phone "Dan how long have you been out here?" I asked him "For ten minutes," He told me "Okay, Meme has a bbq today so let's walk to her house," I told him "In your work clothes?" He asked "Yep I can steal her clothes," I told him. We started walking to her house. I made it to her house she was lying on the ground "Hey bestie," I said, She got up and hugged me "It has been way too long," She said "Oh my gosh you guys are annoying," Dan said letting go of my hand "So, Pleasant to be around," SHe said rolling her eyes "I already have to live with one pregnant person I don't want to be around another one all day," He Said crossing his arms I facepalmed. She looked at me "Excuse me what?" She asked, "I'm Pregnant?" I  said as a question "I don't know, Are you pregnant?" She asked, "YES SHE FREAKING IS ARE YOU DUMB!?" He screamed at her.

A car arrived it was Stephen, My bestie half brother I was zoning out until I see him pointing to Dan, Stephen walked closer to us, got beside Dan, and talked quietly like a whisper."Listen, Buddy. You see that girl over there, with blonde hair. That's my baby sister. Now, are we gonna have a separate problem or are you gonna drop the current one?" He said to him "Dude I've been to hell and back you don't scare me," Dan spit at him, figuratively not literally. "Alright, let's solve this. How old are you?" He asked standing up. "Why are you gonna kill me and your planning my grave?" "Give me an age and I'll tell you why." "I'm not telling you crap," *Dan I love you but Shut up,* I thought. "Green-eyed brunette, how old is he?" Stephen asked "15 turning 16 in October," I told him. "Aw! I can't punch a minor. Alright, let's settle this differently. Since I know you won't leave willingly, you keep your damn mouth to yourself, or I'll risk jail time." He patted him on the shoulder and walked back over to Memphis. Dan was about to grab something out of his bag "DANIEL JACKSON GRAY DO NOT!" I yelled at him  "You shut up," Dan said sitting back down.

I went over to Meme "Can you tell Stephen to stay away from Dan please?" I asked her"Nope, he's my guard dog, your brother wants to be a jerk mine can do the same," She told me Her boyfriend said something but I wasn't listening "Dan has a Knife so,"  I told her "Memphis can we talk? inside?" Stephen asked her "This conversation isn't over," She told me following Stepthen inside.  I sat down next to Daniel waiting for Meme "Heather come here please," She told me walking to the other side of the yard I followed her"How could you let him come here with a weapon?" She whispered "It's not going to hurt anyone," I told her trying to stay serious "Heather please explain. Because I'm seriously freaking out," SHe said trying to stay calm "It's not a real knife I switch it out before the BBQ, but he can still hit people with it." I told her "Heather do you a favor and don't bring your brother back to my house," She said before I could say anything she walked away. 

I walked toward Dan before I said anything "Alright, Everyone Rosalie and I have some news," Stephen announced "We're engaged!" Rosalie yelled they said something else but I wasn't listening "Dan, An word," I said grabbing his hand and walking to where no one else was "Dan this isn't funny anymore I can't bring you anymore because you think bringing a fake knife is really funny," I told him "I was going to bring a real one but you said no, and that's good I hate Memphis anyways she ugly and fat," He told me "Just don't talk to me for the rest of the day." I said walking away. 

After the BBQ me and dan went home, he walked to his room not saying a word to me.
